Stayed in their glamping cottage for a single night and was really impressed. The public bathroom and the cabin were both spotless. It had a comfortable bed and a heater that kept the room cozy. The staff was really nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Found this last minute and di not know what to expect. We rented a cabin. Great surprise, the place and people here are great!! The cabins were very clean with a great bed and heater. Bathrooms were VERY clean and the shower was good. Would recommend this place if you are in the area!

Solid State Pinball Arcade

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years for our annual pinball campout, and almost every year something gets better. Last year we met Dylan, a new employee who was just learning the ropes but still made sure we had a great time. This year Dylan was in full effect and it showed! The camp store looks better than ever, everything ran smoothly, and we were well taken care of from start to finish. Honestly, this was probably the smoothest event we’ve had in all our years coming here. The bathrooms stayed very clean with no issues at all, which makes a big difference for a group event like ours. I arrived early and got the chance to meet the camp hosts, who were incredibly kind. I even invited them to come play pinball one night, and to my surprise they actually showed up! That says a lot about how welcoming and engaged the staff are. Every interaction I had with the team, whether at the camp store or just around the grounds, was warm, friendly, and genuine. It’s clear they care about making this a special place for guests. If you’re considering hosting an event or just want a short getaway, this campground is a hidden gem. Watching it grow and improve year after year has been a joy, and it’s easily my favorite vacation and event of the year. Can’t wait to come back next year!

We host a large event at this campground and have done so for the past 15 years. The entire staff have been wonderful to work with every year and are incredibly accommodating for such an unusual happening that we bring to their campground. I would like to pay a special thank you to the manager Dylan for working with us to make our event so special. We can be an unwieldy undertaking and he's helped to pull off the impossible and we are incredibly grateful. Thank you and much love to everyone at Base Camp!

A group of us stayed at Base Camp this past weekend as we were in the area for a sxs trip. Dylan was a friendly face that greeted us with excitement and an eagerness to pass on all that he knew about the campground. He listened and answered every question we had with expert knowledge and even took time to give us a tour and show us the amenities Base Camp offers. Our cabins were very clean and could hold up to 4 people. A fire pit, grill and picnic table were available for each cabin and we got plenty of use out of all of these. The bonus was the convenience store which was well stocked with snacks, meals, drinks and toiletries. We would absolutely stay here again and can’t wait to see Dylan, he’s a huge part of why we’ll choose to stay here again.

I was fortunate to find this treasure of a place by accident. My wife and I stayed here with our two Frenchies for a couple of weeks. We had a fantastic time. The manager Dylan was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Its a dog friendly park with clean amenities. The rv space was large and spacious. There were plenty of trees with shade. We seen a moose eating by our window. There is store that has everything you need or want- The laundry was a little pricey-i wish they would accept credit cards. Definitely recommend this place!!

We stopped through here because we had heard from friends that it was a nice place. Nice doesn’t begin to describe it. We stayed in one of the onsite rooms, and it was so much fun. It reminded us of when we would go camping when we were kids. Plus the store that’s there as well has everything you could need, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. If you’re going through here, I definitely recommend trying this place.

In the past 5 years, I have rented a cabin twice. Very clean. Recently I have rented an RV spot for 4 months thru the winter. The staff is so kind. They kept the snow removed. I loved having the store on-site. Plus I have seen déer and recently, a Moose. It's so beautiful here. 5 Star

Love this place it's so peaceful, staff is friendly and helpful. Gas station located conveniently located on the campgrounds. The coin operated laundry facilities and showers very clean. Some of the cleanest I have seen before. Very Pet Friendly. Would 10 out of 10 recommend this place.

Bathrooms and showers are disgusting with hair, mold who knows what else everywhere. The manager lets his dog runs wild and likes to jump on people and bite people, also jumps on cars scratching them. Manager is definitely on something. Looked like he has been up for 4 days. The old man working there talks rudely of customers and other employees. Younger employee in morning who’s tall is nice definitely one of best employee there. Also the maintenance guy and his wife are great! Hard working young couple. The evening employee seemed no to really care to much about anythIng but was very nice. Have been there 2 separate times in the last 6 months and both time I have been very disappointed. I would not recommend this place for anyone with children or pets or anyone for that matter. Future guest beware.

Staff is friendly. There is no highway noise. The store is wonderfully stocked. Bathrooms are nice. Showers cost $.50 for 3 minutes. The grounds nearby are an exquisite place to take a short hike. Cabins are way too close to each other. If you like anything other than a hard mattress be sure to bring extra bedding. Overall, a great place to get away.

What an amazing place. We had to find a spot to camp with not much notice. After many hours of searching we were lucky and found Base Camp. Very affordable, extremely clean, very accessible, and the staff was fantastic. The store is amazing and not over priced. The wash sinks, laundry room, bathrooms, & showers were spotless. Cleaned everyday. I wish I had remembered to take photos. We will be coming back!

Phrog And Heather

Base Camp was stocked with all the amenities, friendly staff and great views. Aspen trees are going to start changing any day, mountain flowers blooming everywhere, the camp is nestled in nature between the national forest and state park! They even have a gas station at the same price we got gas in town. The store had everything we wanted, plus more, including warm long sleeve shirts for cool evenings and Colorado cowboy postcards for the family. There was even a playground/ photo op for kids and a liquor store for those interested in drinking.
