Bathrooms were clean. Took awhile for warm water. Site was big, we had plenty of space. We also have family size tents. And car sleepers. Trail was nice and marked. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I have been coming here my entire life. The beauty and charm of Lake Absegami never changes. We have always stayed in cabin 5 or 6 and it's the perfect rustic getaway with some basic comforts of home. It has electric, running water, a shower, a full kitchen with refrigerator and stove and a nice wood burning fireplace. It has 3 bunk beds (sleeps 6) with a very thin mattress, but again it's part of the charm. Just steps from the bank of the lake is a wood burning fire ring, charcoal grill and picnic table. It's the perfect place to get away with friends or family or any age.

We have rented a cabin a couple years now for a family and friends reunion. This year our site was beautiful had a beautiful view of the other side of the lake. Although we could not could not swim due to bacteria and I think why there was less campers this year in the area we rented. They also have a laundry facility on site past the swimming and concession area it's for their deep in to where campers are. The cabins are very deep in this beautiful area

Amazing sites, awesome views and beautiful trails. Lacks professional communication. People come here for the lake and grab a site too. For already paying customers who call to make sure the lake will be open being it is June and in the mist of a heat wave, it would have been nice to get a phone call that the lake would not be open. Tent camping was super hot with out that lake. For the past four years every time I called, the lake was closed. I call this summer about a month ago and was told that the lake was open. They even asked me “why would the lake not be open? It’s been open. Have you not come camping last summer?” Which I fallowed hope with “No, you guys had told me that the lake was closed.” And I was told that they don’t know why I was told that. I am super disappointed in the way my childhood camp site is coming to be. This heat sucked !

Rented a lakeside side cabin off season. Very rustic, but came with fridge, stove, and modern shower and toilet. Very peaceful, not many people camping. A few harmless watersnakes, turtles, and landed some fun pickerel.

I am so proud of New Jersey for protecting and preserving this area of beautiful natural resources. I brought my dog and we found an endless variety of trails, fire roads and park-like areas. We had the best time exploring the area. The people in the park office and store are very friendly and welcoming. I’m looking forward to visiting again.

First time visit!! We had an incredible experience at this camping place! The serene surroundings, well-maintained facilities, and attentive staff made for an unforgettable stay. The campsites were spacious and private, offering the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Waking up to the sounds of chirping birds and the rustling leaves was truly rejuvenating. Good trails for kids. Whether you're a seasoned camper or a newbie like me, this place has something for everyone. We can't wait to return and immerse myself in the beauty of nature once again!
