Batesville Civic Center RV Park

Overview

The Batesville Civic Center RV Park offers a practical and well-maintained camping option for travelers moving through northern Mississippi. As a municipal facility located on the grounds of a large multi-purpose event venue, it provides a level of security and order that transit-focused RVers appreciate. While it lacks the dense foliage of a traditional state park, it makes up for it with clean infrastructure, paved surfaces, and exceptional ease of access for travelers on the go.

Location & Surroundings

Situated just off Interstate 55 and Highway 6, the park is perfectly positioned for those traveling the corridor between Memphis and Jackson. The surrounding area is characterized by the rolling terrain of the Mississippi Delta's edge. Because it is located at the civic center, the environment is open and spacious, offering easy navigation for large rigs without the stress of tight city streets or low-hanging branches found in more wooded areas.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed with modern convenience in mind, featuring full hookup sites that include water, sewer, and electrical service with 20, 30, and 50-amp options. The sites consist of level concrete pads, which significantly reduce setup time for late-night arrivals. The facility is well-lit and offers wide pull-through sites that can accommodate the largest motorhomes and fifth wheels, ensuring that even the most novice drivers can park with confidence.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to do within a short drive, as the park is located near Sardis Lake and Enid Lake, both of which are renowned for world-class crappie fishing, boating, and swimming. For those who prefer a more relaxed pace, the historic downtown Batesville area offers charming local boutiques and southern dining. Additionally, the park serves as an ideal base camp for visitors attending equestrian shows or concerts held at the adjacent civic center throughout the year.

Who This Park Is Best For

This location is an ideal match for cross-country travelers who prioritize a safe, level, and reliable place to hook up for a night or two. It is particularly well-suited for big-rig owners who need ample maneuvering space and a stress-free entry and exit. If you are attending a specific event at the civic center or simply need a high-quality stopover near the interstate, this park’s utility and cleanliness make it a superior choice.

Probably one the worst concert venues ever. You need to go outside you have to buy a new ticket. So dont show up until what you came to see starts. Mark Chestnut couldnt even sell at this place. Complete trash!!

We were traveling South with our Fifth Wheel on I-55 and decided to try and find an RV site to hook up and stay overnight. We made a reservation online on a Saturday night at 7PM and arrived 30 minutes later which made for such as easy process! This campground was wonderful as it was conveniently located just off the Interstate with concrete pads, a concrete picnic tables, full hook ups and each site has its own trash can. Very well maintained. Will keep this on our list of places to stay while traveling through the area!

I went there for the Mississippi Quilt Association meeting a few weeks ago. It's a very nice facility, right off the interstate, with several hotels and restaurants nearby. The meeting room was nice with plenty of room for us and all our quilts on display. I hope we have meetings there again.

Recently attended the MQA Fall gathering at the Batesville Civic Center. The facility was spacious and clean. All the equipment for our various programs worked without a hitch. The set up worked perfect. The bathrooms were A+. Highly recommend!
