Pay to park or show Discover Pass. Paved parking, plus a paved pathway to the lake. NOTE: the path to the lake is fairly steep and may be difficult for people with knee/hip/joint problems. Dogs are allowed on a leash, but not allowed in the lake. Bathrooms are available and are decent. Some limited food is available for purchase, but they also have plenty of space for a picnic if you bring your own food. Overall, nice park, well maintained, with several trails, one of which goes around the lake.

Beautiful place!! The hike around the lake was stunning! I love how there are no engines allowed on the lake at all. The water is so clear, we saw many different varieties of fish.

Love Fishing and walking here. That said, Needs more Game Warden presence and randomized appearances throughout the day at the big fishing dock area. It could also use more handicap ♿️ parking at the swim area for fisherman and swimmers. That hill going down to the lake is NOT handicap friendly, it is doable. Some who are handicap have friends drive them down to beach and drop them off. The lake is nice and there are paddleboards and kayaks to rent! People are very helpful as my experience has been. The staff at the camp store are pleasant and try to answer any questions they can.

Great Lake, steep little hike down a paved road from parking to the lake but isn’t too bad. There is drop off at the bottom for those who don’t want to or aren’t able to walk. The kayak rental is not bad price(I think $15. Definitely consider that you have to lug the kayak down and back up the hill. They have wheels that you can use to take it down but definitely is a good workout getting it to and from the lake. The water isn’t the clearest so I wouldn’t recommend checking the water status before swimming. All in all, a good family place to chill and cool off.

We had a fantastic stay at Battle Ground Lake State Park! When we arrived, we had reservations, and although no one was at the gate maybe because of all the Federal cut which I’m so sorry about . it was easy to follow the signs — just head right for campsites 1–20, which are laid out in a convenient loop. Our site was paved, making setup easy, and the lakeside location was beautiful. We were right next to the restrooms, which were clean and well-maintained. While that meant a little extra foot traffic nearby, we didn’t mind because the lake access made it totally worth it. There’s a small trail that takes you quickly down to the lake and the park store. Speaking of the store, the woman working there was wonderful! We love collecting small souvenirs from every trip, and she kindly gave us one even though they hadn’t been priced yet — such a thoughtful and personal touch. Just a heads-up: the store is only open on weekends before Memorial Day, but it switches to Monday–Friday hours after that. This park is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by dense woods with lots of shaded trails circling the lake. If you’re a sun-seeker, don’t worry — there are sunny spots along the lakeshore where you can relax and soak it in. We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend this gem if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway.
