If your travel trailer is self-contained, this is the spot! Shaded RV spots and wooded area at a $40 a night rate. Choose the upper level camping spots, there better.

Well... The campground itself is OK. But the restrooms seem to be original from former battleground days. So, if you have other options, I strongly recommend using them!

I saw where someone described this RV park as "adequate". I suppose that's a good word for it, but only in the broadest terms. When we checked in I specifically asked if our 42' RV was going to fit and they assured me it would. After 20+ minutes of maneuvering I finally had it where it was somewhat level. We stayed the night, but I didn't sleep well worrying about how I was ever going to get out of there the next morning. If you've got a Casita or smaller RV, it is adequate. If you have a larger fifth wheel like we did, I would suggest you avoide this RV park. It is extremely rustic and doesn't have any sort of amenities. It's OK for a stop along your route - but don't be fooled by any descriptions indicating this is a well-equipped RV park. It isn't.

When I spoke to the manager over the phone, I was told the rate was $25/night. When I arrived, I was told to choose a campsite, set up, then come to the office to pay and again was told the rate was $25/night. When I paid for 3 nights, the charge was $40/night and multiple signs said “no refunds.” This campground is a bit like a rustic state park with long needle pines, a steep driveway, and as other reviews have said, a somewhat deep drainage-way along side the road next to the campsites. Although getting level wasn’t an issue and power, water and sewer are adequate, it gripes me to not be given the correct price including taxes and fees up front. Even with this campground being within a mile of the National Military Park (battlefield), I will not choose it again because of the deceptive practices of the manager.

I found it to be quiet. The residents generally were quiet and polite. Many of them live there full-time. It’s very close to the battlefield. You do hear the highway noise. The bathroom was clean with 2 shower. I was the only one using it because all the other people had their own hooked up. The owners were very pleasant. There’s a laundry room if you want to do a load of laundry. It was $35 a night which is less than most of the other places close by. There is a small motel also on the property. The owner is trying to fix the property up. There is electric water and sewer hook up I think for some of the people who need that.

No wifi, dogs barking. Even had someone banging on our trailer at midnight. Would not recommend at all. Only thing going for it was the proximity to the Battlefield.

If it wasn’t for the hurricane either and I was out of my mind I would’ve taken pictures. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. They’re rude. The toilet seat is black the bathtub is black. It’s disgusting. They showed me a room before I checked in because I was sketchy and the room was nice but they gave me a different room after I paid. I was stuck there and left early and came back to no electricity to New Orleans rather than stay at this hotel. It’s that bad don’t stay here

Simple park close to Battlefield. It's what I wanted. Showers were hot with good pressure. RV connections good at most sites. Nice painted picnic table. Very quiet. Rustic, let's say.
