A wonderful place for long time visitors or first time travelers to the area. Great little store on the grounds and a wonderful swimming beach. Family owned for years. Love it there.

I have been going here since I was a baby. This is a great place to relax, and swim. The owner is nice and funny, and likes to have a party. The people here are really nice to get along with. This is basically my 2nd home in the summer. My family and I love it here. Hope you do too.

It occasionally smelled of sewer and wasn't too clean but overall was a nice place to stay. The beach is a nice spot and they do have bathrooms very accessible wherever you are at the campground although they are very cramped in the stalls. We only saw 2 showers and they take quarters. May come back but we had no service with Verizon but there is good service shortly outside the grounds.

One of the best places my family has been to! Horst the owner is helpful and accommodating. Great people to mingle with, and beach and boat launch within walking distance. Sure the sites may be a bit tight but thats a better reason to be social with your neighbors! Our camper is a 2017 so I’m not sure what the 1 star reviewer was saying about 70’s campers. Come See for yourself! Of our 12 times camping, this is the only place we’ve visited twice👍🏻

Shaded tent sites on the lake. You are able to dock your boat on their beach. Close to the fun bar/restaurants. They were friendly when we checked in. Very reasonably priced.

I've been coming to this campground with my parents and friends since I was very little and it never disappoints! This place has not only became my favorite place to visit almost every weekend but my second home. I've made many memories and new friends through-out the years. Roasting marshmallows by the fire after a long day of soaking up the sun by the beach right off the campground. I wouldn't want to spend my summers anywhere else.

Loud and tight spaces. Date of stay: 6/25/2018 through 6/29/18 Loud and tight spaces. We set up our tents on Wednesday 6/25/18 and the camp ground was fairly empty. The grounds are not well kept however the bathrooms and showers are maybe a 3/5 stars clean but needing work. By Friday night the grounds became TIGHT. The sites are small and very close together. Parking is not organized and the campground rules are not endorsed. Quite/ Curfew hours are 11:00pm - 7:00 am. This is NOT enforced. The grounds are very loud. If you’re looking for a party camp site this is a place for you however those of you looking to relax and enjoy the sounds of the waves on the beach think again. We were going to give the grounds a second chance however after three nights in little to no sleep due to loud and obnoxious party site, we are leaving a day early and not planning on EVER coming back. We do not recommend this campground for the camper who wants to relax and enjoy the wonders that nature can give you.

I have been camping here since age 5 in 1983. A large group of friends would get together for a week every year, and that was some of the best memories of my childhood. As my sister and I grew older, Mom and Dad decided to buy a camper and get a seasonal permit to keep it there year-round. Time passed, as it will, and here we are today. Each family (mine, my sister's, my parents) has a permanent site, and we can come up whenever we prefer. The best part is that we've drawn others in to the fold - old friends and new who all make sure we're together for Labor Day weekend. Horst and his late parents, the original owners, have always felt as much family as proprietors and customers. Granted, it's not pristine. There are bugs, and sometimes people who choose to drink to excess make it unpleasant to enter a restroom stall. Guess what? If you want pristine, they sell that at hotels. This is camping, and it's great at Bavarian.
