Large park with large level sites. Showers and restrooms were clean. Laundry facilities were very clean. We stayed here in our 40 motorhome. Electric and water at site. Dump station is at campground entrance as well as potable water. Price was about 20 dollars a night with senior (62) discount. Use code 62PLUS to get 50% off. We looked at the cabins and they were very clean and had 2 bedrooms on the water. One master bedroom and one with 2 bunk beds.

Great campground for anyone visiting New Orleans. The park is clean, lots of vegetation, some sites are tight while most have a lot of elbow room and the bathhouses are clean, good sizes with plenty of water pressure. The raised walking path between the campgrounds is a good stroll thru nature but I noticed it needs a little bit of upkeeping. Outside of the campground you got plenty of park and recreational area to go hiking, biking, picnicking and quite a few bbq areas. The area still had major hurricane effects but were working on it.

Lovely picnic area and playground, but don’t come here expecting to see much nature. The short wooded areas of the hiking trails are badly overgrown, and much of the nominal walking trail is on the same paved loop that cars use to access the boat launch.

Great picnic areas, nice camping but not to grand on the sand out there. Very nice cabins to rent also and boat launch area

The 90 minute swamp trip was great! Saw plenty of gators and other animals! Our guide was exceptional and very personable with a great sense of humor. The info he shared concerning the area and its past was awesome too!!

This is a very beautiful place! We rented a floating cabin for a few nights and absolutely loved it! The cabins have screened in porches and are in great condition. This is an awesome place for a family get away with good fishing.

Great park! We camped here for a week, it was amazing! The staff were friendly, park is very quiet and well maintained! Shower is hot, bathroom is clean, laundry room is clean. Lots of room between sites. Trees are in every site so you can get lots of shade. The board walk plants are slightly overgrown but it doesn’t bother me at all! Had a great time here, would recommend!

A very pretty park, unexpectedly so, given how close it us to down town New Orleans. The RV camp sites appear to be mostly level. All are paved. Some have patios. Plenty of picnic tables. Elevated walkways to allow you to explore some of the wetlands. Hookups are where and electric only, though there is a dump station at the exit of the park. All in all, a very pretty and quiet place to spend a week or two.

We stayed in cabin #1 at Bayou Segnette. We open the faucet in the kitchen and bathroom and the water was GREEN. We let it run a lot and the water stays GREEN. If the management or maintenance read this post please take action. You should provide clean, safe water to all. Know that they charge $40 per dog. For God sake is a park.

Good value for the price. Fairly good sized spaces. Forest feel even though just outside the city. There is some industrial noise at night but nothing disturbing. Well maintained.

This is so nice, you would not even realize you are around a city. 20 min from New Orleans, yet secluded and in nature. The price is great and the bathrooms, playground, and laundry on site are good. I even went jogging around the big circle. I am sure it is even better in the summer when the pools are open. Sites are paved and long. Water and electric, no sewer, but a free dump station. Definitely will stay here again.

Great State Park. It's a bayou practically in New Orleans. Really beautiful with a large day use area, boat launch and campground and several playgrounds. The campground was great, water and electric only but a dump station in the campground. Restrooms have hot showers but are not heated so pretty chilly when you get out. I saw my first armadillo!
