Was running late and really wanted to stay in the area so reached out first by phone which suggested email would be better (fair enough, it was after 7pm, completely understand). Got this reply: Hi Kelly Everything fully booked until tomorrow at which time we will have a pull thru site. Office is closed so please phone in the morning to book and let us know your arrival time. Regards Colleen So I phone around 9:30am (couldn’t get a signal) and there’s nothing available til Monday. She said I didn’t leave a deposit - didn’t know I needed to/or that was something I could do!!!!!

In my opinion this is the only true RV resort between Langdale and Earl's Cove. The sites are large. Rustic but tidy. I noted that the site was raked prior to our arrival. We only want full service with wifi and we're not disappointed. Staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. There are a couple of full timers but their sites are very tidy and well kept. As this was our first trip to the Sunshine Coast and we were exploring, this campground was well situated almost in the middle of this stretch os the coast. If I wouldn't have been in a cast we could have easily cycled the entire town and outlying areas from here. We will definitely be back!

My buddy and I were on a Motorcycle trip around the Sunshine Coast & dropped in to this campsite with no reservation. This was due to the other site we were intending to go to in the vicinity being full.... (our error of not booking in advance) The site did have a sign of 'No Drop Ins..' but the lady was very helpful and understanding even though we did not have a reservation and slotted us into an empty pitch for the 1 night.... 2 motorbikes 🏍 ..2 small tents ⛺️ and we were very grateful for same... The lady was very welcoming, lovely to talk to and like I said, accommodated us without a reservation...and we sincerely Thank you for that. However,..... the reason I have given a 2 star review was for the bathrooms 🚻 and shower 🚿 block.... they were really gross ! And let the whole campground down..... The sink areas , the floors, the toilets and the shower cubicles were filthy, and looked as though they had not been cleaned in weeks, if not months. I was desperate for a shower & had to choose one which I thought I had less chance of picking up a disease from..... the toilets were worse... As a 60 year old man .... this was the first time in my life that I had to squat over a flush toilet to poop !! I have since read other reviews that have indicated similar issues, with replies from the management that they should have let them know..... but this was not an oversight, or a busy week etc., or something that could have been fixed with a mop and bleach spray...it was much much more... this is simple neglect along with very poor maintenance over a long period of time.... with no care about the conditions and/or it's impact upon its paying customers.... The toilet and shower block doesn't just need a power washer.... it needs someone with a bit of accountability and respect for everyone who pays to stay there to bring them up to standard.... please !

The Good: Arrived at 5:30pm on July 2nd to find the check in closed. No big deal, went to our site and set up. We were pulling a trailer and had a spacious, pretty private site comparable to a provincial park. The showers are $1 for 6 minutes and run hot. The Bad: The showers and bathrooms are a mess. Shower stalls could use a power wash, and the sink faucets have months of build up around them. We were there alongside a group that did karaoke in the evening and played dance music from 8am Sunday morning. The office contains outdated brochures - time to update to 2025. Note that the campground is downwind from the landfill. Agreed that you likely won't walk to town, which is 2km away. I would try to reserve or get a FCFS site at Porpoise Bay on a return trip.

The campsite is in an industrial area. We did not book in advance. The staff were polite and friendly. The road runs through both sides of the campsite.Be prepared to pay up to $1 for a shower. 15 $ for firewood.

Stayed 4 nights here with our 28’ camper trailer. Good size sites set right in the bush with lots of privacy. Bathrooms were dated but function well and showers were great and cost a loonie for 6 min which seems to be the norm. Lady Colleen that runs the place is very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. She gave us lots of ideas on things to do and places to eat in the area. We would definitely stay here again when we come back.

My Husband and I stayed at Bayside during our impromptu trip to the sunshine coast..the place was full but Colleen and Kelsey made sure we had the best overflow site available, welcomed us and showed us outstanding hospitality. We honestly had a connection with Kelsey, and wished we had more time to get to know the owner and host Colleen. She was such an outstanding person, and was probably one of the friendliest person we have met in years. Clean, convenient and felt like home. We love tou guys! Richard and Nate

Had a wonderful time at Bayside staying for 8 days last summer/fall 2020. It was supposed to be a week, but I miscalculated! We were too relaxed at this lovely campground. Colleen was great about it and very generous and helpful. Great location for us and the pooch and walking distance to the beach across the road. Really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back.
