This was our first time staying at Eastern Slope and we enjoyed every second. The place was rather empty due to it being the end of the season which was great. I feel like if it were high season though, the sites may be a little too close for our liking. The staff was GREAT and the beaches were beautiful. The bathrooms were immaculate and large. Overall, this is one of our favorites spots we have stayed this year and our dog agrees. We are already starting to plan our next stay here for 2026.

Recently had our first stay at this campground. What stood out immediately was the friendly staff, exceptionally clean surroundings, and ideal proximity to the Saco River. Facilities were impeccably clean and recently updated. Camp site was sizable and sand-padded which made it roomy and comfortable. And everything was close to the shops and attractions in town. We would absolutely return to this campground for another stay. Thanks for making our first one memorable.

One of the best campgrounds we’ve been to in a long time! So much to do for all of us (3yrs-35yrs and a pup). Shower/bathroom facilities are clean and nicely private. All the staff are super friendly. Well organized, well kept camp grounds! We can’t wait to go back!

This was our second year visiting! It’s a great campground located close to north Conway shopping center! Our site right on the field was great for the kids to run around and play! The kids enjoyed floating the river as well as the pool! Bathrooms were clean. Dog friendly. We will definitely be back next year!

Eastern Slope Campground has a few positives, starting with the people. The staff were kind, helpful, and clearly care about the campground. The facilities were clean, and the river access was a nice touch on a hot day. That said, if you're hoping for a peaceful tent camping experience, this may not be the right fit. The campground felt more like a busy roadside stop than a quiet retreat. Car traffic was especially noticeable at night, with headlights shining through the trees and engines running late. Campfires often burned past midnight, and there didn’t seem to be much enforcement of quiet hours. In a tent, the noise and light are hard to ignore. A camper might make it more manageable. The playground was minimal, with just a few swings and a plastic slide better suited for a backyard. The pool is very small, and the firewood for sale was overpriced and had mold on it. Overall, my kids enjoyed the visit, and that’s what matters most. Still, we’ve camped at well over 100 different locations, and this one is not in our top 10. I’m not comparing it to resort-style campgrounds either, just standard family-friendly spots. This one fell short.

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend. Our son and his 2 friends stayed in a cabin and loved it. Our campsite was great. Love the 2 beaches. Never got around to hiking as we were having so much fun on the river! Booked again for next year. My only mention is that you cannot expect anything from the camp store. Luckily, a grocery store less than 2 miles away.

We just returned from a three day family camping trip in tents. We were a group of 9 with 4 kids and some grandparents. We had the best time. The campground—sites, beaches, bathrooms-were all so clean and well kept. The quiet hours were respected and it was very peaceful. There were some great activities including an ice cream social and movie night. We took advantage of the canoes and the kids had a blast. We had such a great time we’re already planning a trip for next year. It exceeded my expectations! Thank you to all the employees who make this place great!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I needed a site with less sun and more shade and they switched our site without a problem. Campsites and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Campground was quiet and peaceful during quiet hours. Pets are allowed so that's a plus that I can bring my dog next time. Decent amount of activities. Nestled right at the Saco River. Would definitely recommend and return again.

Enjoyed camping here. They have large pull through sites with electric and water facility. Our site stated water front but it wasn’t. But still not disappointed, site is clean and clear without gravel. Bath house is well maintained.

These reviews where people have extremely high expectations of a CAMPground and complaining there’s no cable etc, are no reflection of what this place actually is. It’s a beautiful place to stay, right on the Saco river. It has a little store with everything you’d need, spacey showers, sinks, a playground it’s honestly the full package. All the workers I talked to were extremely personable and kind. If you’re upset over not being able to watch tv… book a hotel next time. Personally I can’t wait to come back this summer!!!!!!!

I've camped her twice before and have just book our reservation to return. Last year there was 31 in our group not sure about this year's # a few new people joining us. The camp is under new management last year and there was a notable difference with staff all very helpful, diverting the rain water away for our tents if needed. Situated along side the river, bring your own tubes and kayaks or rent them at the campground (so convenient). We are tent campers, sites are roomy, so two tents per site works well, not a lot of trees for hammock or assistance in hanging a tarp. Showers are 25 cents, 5 minutes shower so work quick and get the soap out of your hears first. Showers and bathrooms are separated and old needing some TLC. Would be nice to have outside showers, they have no handicap accusable shower. The map shows there is plans for another bathroom, a 2nd bathhouse would be great. This is a basic campground, no frills like those resort camps with pools and organized activities. You make your own fun here, the river is clean, plenty of hiking in the area, not to far from town for night out or shopping.

I parked my RV there for a month with their fall special...my RV hasn't been used in a couple years so I had plenty of time do things on the inside...I loved this campground...they have awesome sites on the river...other campers there were all friendly and helpful...I want to give a special thanks to Chris. Who works there.. ..she was very helpful...my dog P.j. loves her and Chris was super nice to us both...thank you Chris...the other staff we met were nice and friendly too..I would highly recommend this place and will be back next year....thank you again...

Very clean and quiet campground. It is located on the edge of the Saco River with plenty of activities to enjoy. Campsites had water, power, etc. and ours was located between the trees. It was lovely. We will be back next year.

May daughter and I just went for 2 nights tent camping and it was GREAT! We stayed Sunday & Monday night so there was open space. Our first assigned lot was a little tight and surrounded by RV campers. As a tent camper we felt like we would have been in the middle of their set up so we asked if we could select another one and they were happy to accommodate us. We were lucky that there was nobody next to us otherwise I can see how some reviewers said that the sites were not private. We hung a clothes line for our towels and that helped with the privacy issue on one side of us. It would certainly help if the owners hung clothes lines already so people would hang towels and solve that issue - not everyone thinks about bringing rope. The location is perfect on the Saco River and it was really relaxing to float in the river so close to our camp site. The campground is quiet and wooded and you don't feel like you are in an open field with a theme park surrounding you! It's definitely more authentic. We checked out one of the neighboring sites not far away....no way! Too commercialized. It's worth noting that the campground is under new ownership so the old reviews of the owner screaming at you is no longer! I did suggest that the new owners add something to the shower/restroom area that allows for people to brush their teeth, blow dry their hair, and women to get ready so you aren't squeezed into a two sink bathroom. If they add that then, honestly, they have everything you need to enjoy a camping trip! I didn't give it a 5 only because of the close sites with no trees between you - but we would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks for a great get-a-way!
