We just visited family staying there from out of town but it was beautiful grounds, clean bathrooms, gorgeous cabins, comfy mattresses, well maintained, clean beautiful pool, kids had so much fun, people that work there are so nice. Prices higher than a state park but I think worth it for the cleanliness. Also no loud music allowed. Huge plus there. Not sure what weekends are like but the pool was not crowded at all.

Cleanest KOA I’ve ever stayed at. Friendly staff, family oriented events, great pool, fun playground, horseback riding, fishing pond with paddle boats, mini golf, and cool game room to get out of the heat for a while! Will be back soon.

During the May 16-18, 2025 weekend, our family rented a cabin at East Sparta, KOA (Bear Creek). The weather was spotty showers, variable temps, and a late night storm. We had four generations (rage in age: 5-75) in that 400 sq./ft. cabin and we had a blast. The kids 5 & 10 went walking, biking, to the play ground and fishing. My 10 year-old grandson caught the largest fish he had seen in his life. Our cabin was clean and we felt safe/dry during a night time storm. Our only complaints were the beds were on the hard side and while the cabin slept 7, there was only comfortable seating for three (couch). Due to the rain, we did spend a fair amount of time in the cabin watching TV and playing games.

My family had a fantastic time a the Bear Creek Halloween celebration weekend. We stayed in one of the cabins and loved it. The staff were also super helpful throughout our entire stay. This is a family-friendly place we will definitely be back!

This campground is a hidden gem! Great price, great amenities, well kept! Everyone is super nice too. Pool is awesome, sites are level, the back-through sites are situated on a hill side and most people have a retainer wall that gives you the sense of a bit more privacy. We just stayed at one of their premium sites and the landscaping puts other campgrounds to shame, the table and swing seat were very nice, and there are plant designs stamped into the concrete pad for a very nice touch! They offer horse back riding for ages 8 and up and pony rides for kids less than 8 on weekends. They also have a playground, arcade, fishing pond, peddle boats, mini golf, dog park with a few obstacles, and karaoke on the weekends! The entire campground is small enough we felt safe letting kids go to park on their own because we could see park from our site. The camp store is intimate but has everything you may need and the bath house is updated and kept clean. This is our 4th visit since finding them and will definitely go back!
