Spend the weekend in a cabin at this park..beautiful place..cabins were excellent!..spacious,clean. It was a great experience to stay and disconnect from everything. (Even though my cell had reception). Beautiful views and nice trails..my dog and I had the best time!

We arrived for an afternoon of swimming and hiking. My girlfriend brought her 2 younger kids and we liked that there are several trails under a mile. The beach area was very clean and bigger than I expected. The Campground was closed so that may have helped with less people. The park staff were super friendly. The bathrooms are clean. There was an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand.

We are taking a watercolor class that I can’t rave about enough. I just started playing with watercolor paints 2 months ago and I’m very pleased with my progress so far. Learning in the shade overlooking the lake with a true artist.

We kayaked Bear Creek Lake for the first time today and had a blast! It’s not huge but has a very easy place to put in kayaks and is full of life. We easily spent two hours paddling around. There’s an established path down from the parking lot and rentals are available. Nice bathrooms and the swimming beach was populated but not crowded. Lots of shaded areas to fish and a picnic shelter for grilling.

Went camping and fishing and had a great time. We camped out in a tent in Acorn Loop spot 18. The ground for the tent was soft but bumpy. Putting up our tent was easy. The picnic table was convenient. The area was beautiful with a lake view and it was very peaceful. The bath house was about 100 yards away. It was our first time camping in a tent with no electricity or water and we had fun.
