Very nice RV park. Private bathrooms and showers for guests. Full hookups available. It's close to the water and within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The proprietor told me it was the first RV park in Valdez, which is pretty neat.

Although the site may appear a little dated from the outside. It adds to the character of the place. Very clean bathrooms with good showers and super clean laundry. Overall value is great as we have a roof tent and we payed half the price of an RV site even though there was still a plug and potable water. It’s the perfect locations for food and the harbour is you have any boat tours planned. (would highly recommend a boat tour)

We spent 3 nights at Bear Paw RV Park during our week-long Alaska road trip, and out of all the campgrounds we stayed at, this one was by far the best! The location is perfect, right in the heart of the town, couldn’t be more convenient. The facilities were excellent: fast WiFi, clean showers, laundry, and everything you need all included. Nothing was missing. But the real highlight was the sweet elderly lady who runs the place. She was so warm, kind, and welcoming, the kind of person who makes you feel genuinely at home. A true gem! We would absolutely come back on our next Alaska trip. Highly recommended for any RV traveller!

We stayed here in August. We followed our GPS straight into the middle of town and right to the campground. Check-in at the office was quick, and we pulled into Pull-through Site 43 with FHUs (30 AMP). The campground was essentially a large gravel parking lot with sparse patches of grass and weeds between a mix of pull-through and back-in sites. While the sites were very close together, the spectacular mountain views in every direction made this CG special. The utilities were well placed in the center of the long pad, allowing us to drop the patio on our 40’ toy hauler and still park our F450. Water pressure was steady at about 50 PSI, and each site had a small picnic table. Connectivity was mixed: 4 bars on Verizon extended network, 3 bars on T-Mobile (sometimes workable), and above-average campground WiFi. With no trees on-site, Starlink had a clear shot from the roof, though placing it on the ground wasn’t practical with other rigs and vehicles moving about. The domestic rabbits that roam all over Valdez were an unexpected and fun addition to our stay. We usually don’t choose in-town campgrounds, but Bear Paw worked well for us. Its location made it easy to explore everything Valdez had to offer, and the surrounding mountain views made the close sites and gravel lot worthwhile.

Clean, sites level, water,sewer and electric on site and convient. Laundry and showers are very good. 2 minutes walk to fishing docks. Safeway grocery store 2 blocks behind the park. Very walkable.
