Beaver Canyon Campground

Overview

Beaver Canyon Campground offers a serene retreat nestled at the base of the stunning Tushar Mountains. This park serves as an inviting gateway for travelers exploring the high-altitude wonders of southern Utah. Known for its lush shade trees and well-maintained grounds, the campground provides a peaceful atmosphere that contrasts with the typical roadside stop. Whether you are passing through on a long haul or staying to explore the wilderness, the park offers a scenic and relaxing environment designed to accommodate modern RVers.

Location & Surroundings

Situated on the eastern edge of Beaver, Utah, the park sits at the mouth of the canyon, providing immediate access to breathtaking natural landscapes. The Beaver River flows nearby, adding the tranquil sound of running water to the park’s ambiance. This location is particularly favored for its higher elevation, which keeps temperatures significantly cooler during the peak of summer compared to the desert floor. Visitors can enjoy dramatic mountain backdrops while remaining just a short drive from local services and historic architecture.

Amenities & Park Features

The campground is designed to accommodate various setups, offering spacious pull-through sites that are ideal for larger rigs. Each site is gravel-padded and includes essential utilities to make your stay comfortable. Guests have access to several key features:

  • Full hookups including 30 and 50 amp electricity
  • Clean, private restrooms and hot showers
  • On-site laundry facilities and a scenic playground
  • Complimentary wireless internet for staying connected
These practical amenities ensure a stress-free stay, while the picnic tables at each site invite guests to enjoy outdoor dining under the stars.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor enthusiasts will find no shortage of activities within a short distance of the park. Eagle Point Resort is a major draw for mountain biking in the summer and skiing in the winter. Fishing enthusiasts can head to the nearby reservoirs or cast a line into the river. The surrounding Fishlake National Forest offers hundreds of miles of trails for hiking and ATV riding. For those looking to see Utah’s famous red rocks, the park serves as a manageable home base for day trips to Bryce Canyon National Park.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an excellent choice for travelers who prioritize a quiet, nature-focused experience over a bustling resort vibe. It is particularly well-suited for families looking for a safe environment and outdoor recreation opportunities. It is also a top pick for ATV and UTV riders who want easy access to rugged mountain trails. If you are seeking a cooler, mountain-air alternative to the desert heat, this campground provides the perfect high-country escape for your next RV adventure.

We just happened to stumble upon this cute place and we are so glad we did! Full of character this place did not disappoint. Hosts were amazing and the place was quiet and felt like home. Make sure and stop if you are near Beaver. The only thing that we were sad about is the mexican restaurant didn’t open until Wednesday.

A GREAT place to park the RV & camp when we're fishing at Anderson Meadows or any of the other nearby lakes (LeBaron, Puffer, or the Kents lakes). The hosts are very friendly, and Ashley is extremely helpful!!! We ALWAYS stay at the Beaver Canyon Campground when we're in the area.

Always nice. Lots of full timers, but everyone keeps their areas spotless. Nice little restaurant that gave us a break from cooking.

So cute. We met our friends from Quartzsite there. We stayed an extra night just to eat at Maria's. A place where Heaven and excellence in cuisine collide. The view as you walk around is beautiful. Stop in and treat yourself to a bit of Heaven.

Omg! A hidden gem for sure!!! Only $20 with my Passport America… I would have easily paid twice this…amazing place! Quirky art all around the grounds, ASTONISHING excellent Mexican food in the onsite restaurant. Mmmm! Definitely a must stop here!!! A 10 out of 5 stars!! ⭐️
