Beaver Meadow Family Campground
Overview
Beaver Meadow Family Campground offers a peaceful retreat into the rolling hills of Wyoming County, providing a classic camping experience where nature takes center stage. This family-owned destination is spread across 50 acres of wooded landscape, balancing rustic charm with the essential comforts modern RVers expect. It is designed specifically for those who want to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with family around a crackling campfire in a serene, natural environment.
Location & Surroundings
Situated in the quiet hamlet of Java Center, NY, the campground is surrounded by agricultural beauty and lush forests. The local elevation provides cooler summer breezes and a refreshing atmosphere far removed from urban noise. Its location in Western New York makes it a prime spot for exploring the Genesee Valley region. The property itself features a large spring-fed pond that serves as a central hub for relaxation and scenic waterfront views.
Amenities & Park Features
The park is well-equipped for both weekend travelers and seasonal residents. Campers have access to full hookup RV sites that accommodate various rig sizes within a heavily timbered setting. Recreational highlights include a swimming pond with a sandy beach and a separate pond dedicated to fishing. For guest convenience, the park provides an on-site camp store, clean bathhouses, and a dump station. Families often gather at the playground and basketball courts, while the weekend schedule frequently features organized events like hayrides and themed activities.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Beyond the park gates, the region offers significant natural and historical landmarks. A short drive leads visitors to the renowned Letchworth State Park, often called the Grand Canyon of the East, famous for its dramatic waterfalls and deep river gorges. For a unique historical experience, the Arcade & Attica Railroad provides vintage train excursions through the scenic countryside. Nature enthusiasts can also explore the Beaver Meadow Audubon Center, which offers miles of interpretive trails and birdwatching opportunities in a protected wetland habitat.
Who This Park Is Best For
This campground is ideal for families seeking traditional outdoor fun without the frantic pace of a commercial mega-resort. It appeals to RVers who prioritize quiet, wooded surroundings and community-oriented social activities. Because of its proximity to major natural landmarks, it serves as an excellent basecamp for hikers and nature photographers looking to explore the wonders of Western New York while enjoying a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

We had reservations at Beaver Meadow Campground and were so impressed by how large, beautifully maintained, and well-equipped it was. The amenities looked fantastic, and we were really looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately, our tongue jack failed right after unhitching, and we had to cut our trip short. Even though I didn’t expect a refund, the staff went above and beyond: they graciously refunded one night and the guest fees we had paid for overnight visitors, without us even asking. Their kindness and customer service really stood out. We’ll definitely plan to return when we can fully enjoy all that Beaver Meadow has to offer. Highly recommended!

Place stunk so bad was filled with garbage everywhere wasn't aloud to drink got yelled at for my gay flag, told me queers arent alloud here the onwer was smoking in my face while i tried to talk to her. The bathrooms were full of black mold and bugs. i got told my kind isnt allowed here by 3 people im African American. The owners and people going there was just horrible!. The pool was full of algae and unkept it smelled horrendous like mold but worst to say the owners kicked me out for being (black)

Great place to bring the family, very clean restrooms, showers and campsites. I used a random porta potty they had on a back road and it was the cleanest porta potty I've ever been in. They had a cute vendor show on Sat. At the community center, along with corn hole. The pool there is amazing, it's a heated salt water pool. Therd bounce pillow for the kids and an open field for kickball, baseball, whatever. Definitely going back again. I didn't have cell service or internet here but they do offer wifi for $5/day which worked well.

Beaver Meadow Family Campground is a beautiful and spacious place to camp! The location is absolutely stunning, with plenty of scenic views and lots of room to spread out and enjoy nature. The amenities are excellent—everything you could need for a comfortable stay is right there. A special shoutout to Jeff and Kim, who made our stay even better with their warm hospitality and helpfulness. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. While some of the weekenders were a bit noisy, it didn't take away from how much we enjoyed our time here. We would definitely come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway!
