Beaver Mines Lake PRA

Great campground located on the southeast shore of Beaver Mines Lake. There's 5 km of rough gravel off the highway, and no cell service past the town of Beaver Mines. This campground is now reservation only, and needs to be made online or by phone....neither of which is possible once you've arrived due to the lack of cell coverage. We backtracked to the town and got enough of a shread of service to book online only to find out you're supposed to now print your reservation. We wrote ours out on a piece of paper, and the ranger didn't seem to have a problem with it when she drove by. Only reason I'm docking a star is due to the ridiculous fact that they've made this area reservation only and you have zero cell service without backtracking 15-20 minutes back to town to try and register. This campground should have some first come first served sites since there's no other way to register on site.

Staying for 3 days and 2 nights was a truly remarkable experience. The lake brought us peace of mind, allowing us to escape the daily grind and embrace tranquillity. Without phone connectivity, we found freedom from stress and the chance to reconnect with ourselves. I highly recommend the place since it is well-developed.

Cool spot. Stayed in the cabins, ours didn't have as much shade as others, so it was kinda stuffy at the end of the day. Over all nicely set up. The Campground has a good variety of sites for cars, trailers, etc. No reception. The road in will test your suspension. There isn't a ton of stuff to do around the lake itself, besides lake activities, but there is decent hiking a short drive away and the attractions in the Frank Slide area. There are events on weekend nights hosted by park staff, like foraging for gin infusements. Toilets are clean, and the vibe is relaxed and not the party type. Perfect for relaxing.

Really lovely campground - lovely day use area with boat launch and a little beach area as well

Lovely place. We got lucky and had a spot with a lake view. I would recommend if you do book a spot not on the lake, keep checking every day for one that could open up. A lot of people book way in advance, even if they aren’t sure if they can make it. Some don’t even cancel, and just do a no show. The spot next to us was that way. It showed it booked for the time we were there, and. It a soul showed up.

Great icefishing. Beautiful scenery. Saw about 60 elk in a herd. 4 small bulls.

Hiked up to a mile marker on a beautiful lookout. We passed a few good spots with gorgeous views! Saw a mountain sheep way up on a ridge... Nice place to eat at the base with picnic tables and a day cabin

Quiet campground in a forested area by the lake. Peaceful. Great place for a getaway from a big city! The only downside is that the pit toilets there are super stinky.

Lake is incredibly nice. Bring your paddle boards and or fishing rods. Will definitely try camping out here.
