Beautiful beach nice camping if you like high rates and then have to pay for a shower. Not impressed

Stayed here this past Labour Day weekend and it was a great time. The staff were so friendly and informative - they even suggested some good fishing spots. There were mens/womens outhouses basically every few feet which was a bonus (but they are outhouses lol) and the campgrounds were so spacious and open while also being secluded and private. Great spot and a great time. We will definitely be back.

The sand spit with water in both sides and the views from the beach are why I give it 4 stars. It would be higher if campground was in better shape. Fantastic spot. We wing foiled both days we were here so it was a great spot for us. Front desk lady wasn’t the most welcoming and they charged 3.50 for pretty nasty showers. It is well past its prime but it is also an awesome property with a great beach. Nasty outhouses need replacing.

This was the first time we had done any tenting and this was a great place to start out. Tent sites are far enough apart to provide some privacy. The beach was beautiful. One night stay was $35 for a tent site.

The beautiful beach and cozy campsite overlooking the beach were a perfect for our 1 night stay over. The park itself was well maintained. Having to pay $3 for a shower that also had a sign posted telling people to " CLEAN UP YOUR OWN MESS" - (the bucket and mop were outside! ) was ridiculous. The facilities before even used it had dirt and dust everywhere. We have been at other campsites where a shower is 50 cents, are spotless, and I wasn't mandated to mop it out after :) Finally - the owners. Owning and running a park isn't easy. To the female owner - It can burn you out and make you miserable but don't take it out on polite, well behaved guests!! The place itself is a hidden gem. Either take a vacation away to recharge yourself, hiring cleaning staff, or sell and retire!!

Horrible experience for short term campers. They came down as we were setting up our tents and they, for the first time, said only one tent per camp ground was permitted. Which made zero sense. But if we took one down and reassembled in the dark so no other campers saw then it would be okay. ?!?!?! It also had a horrible smell like sewage and had broken glass around the camp site. They also limited one camp site to 2 adults. Three middle aged women? Absolutely not. If I could give minus stars I would. Horrible.

I hate to leave a bad review of a small family run place but… I will not be back. Number one: the silly rules. You’re not allowed to have 3 adults stay at the one campsite but can have 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child? I understand that it’s a campground geared towards families but I don’t understand why three quiet mature adults cannot stay here. Also, you aren’t allowed to have more than one tent per campsite but yet all the seasonal campers can have a giant RV and a tent on their lot? It doesn’t even make sense. Number two: the smell on our site!! It smelled like sewage. We mentioned this to the person who runs the campground and he said that it was the ocean but it was definitely not. Number three: there were quite a few broken beer bottles in the trees on the campsite. Number four: it was not as advertised. The website included pictures of campsites right on the beach but our only access to the beach was down a cliff. Toilets are outhouses and we did not see showers anywhere (although now I’m reading some reviews and there are 3 showers for 100 campsites.. yikes!!).
