Our camping happened in July. Had a great time at Belly River Campground. We got the large group camping for the whole extended family. No signal, no electricity, and no water. It was quite an experience. Full of family fun interactions. It was a 3 min walk to the cold but fun river from our campground through a trail.

I did not camp here but wanted to share that I drove to this campground (and along Highway 6 until right before the Montana border) on a few evenings from just outside Waterton during a recent trip to look for wildlife, and almost every time, saw multiple black bears in this area (once, there was a cinnamon coloured bear in the forest on the road into the campground). The bears seem to love the area near this campground! The campground itself looks really nice - it’s too bad you can’t reserve sites as it’s hard to plan ahead if you don’t have anything booked and are coming from out of province. The sites were nice and they were almost all full when I drove through multiple times, even on the weekdays.

Great spot! Quiet and very well maintained grassy areas. Toilets were clean and they flushed! Sites were of various kinds. Some were semi secluded in the trees others like the one we had across from the meadow by the creek. Group camping area had a tremendous view of the mountains! Very courteous Parks staff came by to check on our experience. All in all well recommended but remember amenities here are basic . Self sufficient camp setups and kit are a must .

Beautiful campsite! Gary, the host, was incredibly kind and helpful. Firewood is available and provided for campers if you purchase the $11/night permit- which we loved. Campsite was not too expensive, and the grounds were fairly flat for tents. There are unisex flushable toilets available. No sink/potable water. Picnic tables and nice fire pits at each campsite. Easy self-registration process. Loved being here and I would camp here again!

Great campground, the spots are pretty far from each other, so it is very private and secluded. Wish there were more washrooms but they have normal toilets with running water! The price is 19.75 per night + 11.00 for fire permit. Closes on September 2nd due to the bear activity in the area!
