Beware when booking pontoons as they don't take deposits upfront and will try to get that cost back somehow. After a fun day fishing with family, we docked, and the owner inspected the pontoon for damages. We saw him heading down to the pontoon with some sort of wrench, which was highly suspicious. He then told his wife that we damaged the propeller for the pontoon. They threatened to make us pay an additional $150 for the propeller to be repaired not replaced. We denied any responsibility as we knew we did not cause the damage. They said we inspected the propeller beforehand so we're responsible. Keep in mind, that their dock is 3/4 the length of the pontoon, so there's no way you can see the back of the pontoon. Doug just gave us instructions on how to operate the pontoon and showed us the paddle location. The condition of the pontoon was atrocious by the way; ripped seats, dirty floor, broken radio, and table. Eventually, we got tired of arguing with Jenny and just paid the $150 and went home. We barely used a full tank of gas and the second tank was untouched, indicating how far and fast we could've been going. That indicates that we were cruising and fairly stationary for most of the day since we were fishing. I will not be returning here and I highly recommend you go to Plank Road Cottages & Marina. The owners (Carla & Angus) there are super friendly! I have been going there for the past 3 years but wanted to try a new fishing spot. Bensfort Bridge Resort is not seeing me again!

Doug and Jenny are great host. Never been here before. Stayed four days three nights at a tent site. Rented a clean boat for two days. Had lots of fun on the water catching bass, pike, perch, and huge sunfish. Doug and Jenny made use feel at home not to mention the seasonal campers. The washrooms are cleaned daily. They keep up with covid 19 protocols. My honest opinion is I will be back. Don't let the negative comments determine it. Come and check it out.

Doug & Jenny are fantastic hosts, lots of personality. The camp ground is very clean, the washrooms are spotless. The prices are great. The amount of wood we got for 20 bucks was insane, 2 big recycling bins full that lasted us 3 nights and we cooked every meal on the fire.We did a ton of fishing, caught lots of bass & pike. The seasonal campers are super friendly. We will definitely be back. We had a great time.

We have been coming here, as many times as possible, since 2007. Jenny and Doug are amazing people who really care about their campers and try their best to make each and every stay a memorable one. We have had a few issues in the past with the motorhome we were camping in at the time, they went above and beyond to help us out. Doug even went so far as to get us some groceries when the fridge died spewing ammonia all over all our food and when all our batteries died at the same time they helped us get them charged so we could continue on. We love coming here and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing camping trip.

Bensfort Bridge Resort is a very clean , well managed place we enjoy staying. D and J look after everything and give you a clear understanding of tenants responsibilities. The bathrooms are well maintained and cleaned. The boat launch is great, quite wide. They offer fuel at the dock which is a bonus. There is an office with all the necessities. Ice, worms, bug spray, drinks, treats and best of all a small lure selection. We have rented camp grounds to cottages with 0 complaints. The lands are well kept. There is a pretty cool playground for kids, basketball and horse shoe toss. A small swimming area and gazebo down by the water. The community is nice and mature with nice gatherings , 50/50 draws, meals and other activities. There are many docks for rental too. We will continue to keep going for years to come.
