We work in the area and stay for roughly 4-6 weeks. Owner is very accommodating, and helpful. We also have been staying in the Fort Benton area for the past 14 years, for work related purposes. The kids can play freely, and the locals are aware of the kids. Best part is when the ice cream truck stops by. Overall I would recommend this stay for the small town, there are activies throughout the summer in the downtown district. If you are expecting High end KOA or luxury park with a list of rules and strict enforcement this isn't it. Everyone knows everyone, and there is a mutual respect. **I also want to add the previous review from a gentleman, never once came to a parent about the kids, asked the kids for privacy, or mentioned anything to the park owner until the next day, he also never moved a picnic table to his area, the toys he is referring too were around a trailer that belong to the families. The kids were in bed by 9, and were around camp for an hour. The kids may have been more loud than he liked, but it definitely was not past "quiet time" or after dark.

I needed their accommodations to empty what we had accumulated over the weekend. I gave them a call and the lady was super sweet and told me where it was located. She said she was leaving for a bit so I offered to pay and she said consider it a freebie!!! This just adds to our belief that FORT BENTON is full of awesome people!!!

Stay at the fairgrounds if you can. We stopped here and were basing our stay on reasonable prices that were on line. 30 to 35 seemed fair. It was 56 dollars. It was late in the day and I was surprised about the price, but we went ahead and agreed to stay. We wanted to do our laundry, but the manager/owner said to come back later and mentioned we could use laundromat in town. When I called later, no answer. Also, owner/manager was not available next morning so we could not do laundry. Also, no wifi code was given when we checked in. I called and texted for that info, and info was given to me at around 4:30 am. Weird! No hand soap in bathroom, which probably should have been included given what they charge. We don't mind paying 50 to 60 if place warrants it. This one definitely did not. One place that is worth the price is Prewitt rv park in Cascade Montana. Now, that's the ticket!

We stayed here almost a month following our daughter & son-in-law kayaking down the Missouri River. Very nice campground & wonderful people running it. Pet friendly, gravel sites with lots of grass. Laundry on site. , within walking distance to town. Full hookups.

Nice small, quiet park. Friendly owner. The sites can be a bit tight and the landscaping could use some work but overall our stay was pleasant. We would stay again.

Small RV park right off the highway. Very quiet. We enjoyed it due to the history here. There are 4 museums to visit so if you are interested in Montana history (as we are), this is the place to be for at least 3 or 4 days. Lewis and Clarks Point of Discovery location is upriver about 10 miles. There is an agricultural museum as well as a replicated fort with all kinds of Indian artifacts as well as the fur trappers historical items. The National Upper Missouri River Breaks Interpretive Center museum is here with Chief Josephs rifle that he surrendered at the end of the Nez Perce War. Theres an old hotel that the steamboats used to bring passengers to. Interpretive signs all along the riverfront telling of its history. Gem of a little town and about an hours drive to Great Falls to the Lewis and Clark Interpetive Center and Giant Springs State Park right next door which are also must sees!

Sept. 2020. We stayed 2 nights, the space was level, easy to hook up, clean. We’d stay again.

The lady owner is very pleasant and showed us to our site and made sure we were set up comfortably. Our site with gravel and wood border was level and long. Utilities worked well. But the park needs some attention! Lots of weeds, little or no shade for most sites, less than appealing views of trucks, old tires, dumpster and seasonal workers RVs. This is a gravel road and industrial area so the dust flies when trucks go by. Old lumber and junk in the area of the restrooms. Did not use restrooms since they were locked (COVID?) There are many things that could be done to make the park more attractive. The photos and description on their website are less than accurate. Luckily, the small historic town has many nice and interesting features to keep us occupied.

Good price for a small town rv park. Flat spaces and quiet environment. The mosquitoes are brutal at dusk.
