We had an RV reunion here for 5 days in September. The folks here were fantastic and so accommodating. The nearby mountains were just beginning their color changes. There are so many nearby things to do and see, and lots of great food nearby. We definitely will be back!

We always enjoy our visit to Townsend Tn and the Smoky Mountains. Big Meadow is the perfect location for access to all things Smoky Mountain. The campground is quiet and well maintained…..the owners and staff couldn’t be more accessible and helpful. We strongly recommend Big Meadow Campground.

What a wonderful and peaceful stay at Big Meadows. The bath house and laundry facilities were excellent. The staff members were extremely friendly and they treat you as a friend not a customer. The location was very good with an easy drive to the surrounding area. The only negative was the low powered WiFi but that is not a big enough issue to demote their star rating. Thank you Big Meadows and we will see you again real soon.

After being out of camping for over 20 years, we made this place our first trip with the new camper. We totally enjoyed the park and the staff. They were great to work with and truly made our visit a great one. We have already booked for next year. Great location, great staff, and overall great experience. I would highly recommend this park to anyone.

Big Meadow Campground is a beautiful place to stay. It's peaceful, and in a great location. It is family owned and ran. They were so helpful with anything we needed. Great playground for the kids all year. They have a splash pad for the summer. The bathrooms where the cleanest I have seen.

We've stayed here . Friendly clean but definitely for tourist sight seeing. Not for the family get away

Overall, the campground is "OK." There are a limited number of river front sites, but there is a road between you and the river. You hear any vehicle that goes down the road (which is a popular drive). The other sites, not on the river, are OK as well, limited shade. The internet is spotty if you need that for your work/school. The front office is not overly friendly. I would recommend choosing one of the many other campgrounds in the area.

NO REFUND Called before we made reservation and asked about refund policy. The person I talked to said it would be $31.00 and change to cancel the reservation. Well had to cancel the reservation and it ended up costing the full one-night stay of $83.93 and was told there wasn't anything they could do about the bad information given by their employee. Hope they use that money wisely as they will never get anymore from me. There are plenty of better options just down the road.

Great campground! Love the quiet side in Townsend. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the visitor policy. You have to pay for visitors to come in the campground. This is not a deal breaker for us and I like how secure it is but kind of a hassle if you have family staying nearby if they want to come sit by the campfire. But overall we love it here.
