A nice small park and campground right on the lake! My wife and I had a great time camping here. Only bad part was annoying neighbor campers, but not something the park has to do with! The park ranger here was extremely friendly and helped out right away if we needed something.

It has a nice boat launch but only 6 or 7 parking spots. The fishing was good straight out from the park. The office employee was very nice and helpful. The campground looks nice also, but I didn't camp here. Lots of deer and pheasants.

This is a beautiful place to camp, right on the Minnesota river. The staff was friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean. Very well kept. I will highly recommend this State Park.

We are trying to do all the state parks and this one fell a little short. Only because there wasn't much hiking for us to do. They only have like two trails and it's in the open field. They are pretty and the camper grounds look very clean. But for us the trails are important.

Kinda basic for a MN state park. Not much for trails or amenities. It feels like it is forgotten or neglected in the park system. Has a decent day use area and campground along the lake. It has boat access and some decent views and vistas in otherwise bland area of the state. If you want to stay on Big Stone lake go across to the other side. Hartford Beach park on the SD side looks to be a way better option for this lake.

Very nice campground. Lake seems nice but we're there in the fall so did not boat, fish or swim

Make sure to go up to the Bonanza area - that where the hiking club trail is, and it’s a magical forest 💚

Seems perfect for recreational motorized boats and jet skis. Was also great to go out on in a canoe for a paddle. Got to see a lot of white pelicans!

Do you like water? Do you like native prairie grasses and flowers? Do you like beaches or hikes? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you should be happy here. Neat park decent camping. Camping sites are park is mostly prairie, so bring a sun shade.

It's a lovely area, and there were lots of birds and deer- especially during the week when there are fewer campers, so be sure to drive slow. The bathrooms and showers were clean, staff were helpful and friendly. The fishing on the lake was good.
