It serves as an affordable and scenic home base for travelers who want to explore the Atlantic County coastline while enjoying a traditional camping experience surrounded by mature trees and local wildlife.

Situated just inland from the Atlantic Ocean, the park sits in a convenient suburban pocket of Northfield. The area is characterized by its heavily wooded terrain and a series of freshwater ponds that offer a cooling natural canopy during the warm summer months. This unique location is perfect for those who want to avoid the congestion of the shore towns while remaining just a short fifteen-minute drive from the major attractions of the Jersey Shore.

- A popular freshwater fishing pond
- Extensive hiking and exercise trails

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The park’s primary draw is its proximity to Atlantic City, where visitors can find world-class dining, iconic casinos, and the famous boardwalk. For a classic beach day, the family-friendly shores of Ocean City are just a short trip away. Nature enthusiasts also enjoy visiting the nearby Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, while golfers will appreciate the numerous high-quality public courses located within a very short radius.
Who This Park Is Best For

One of the best local grove parks , you would love to visit

NJ is the least dog-friendly state that I have encountered on my travels. Most parks don't allow any dogs and the dog parks are only for locals. Many require a fob to get in or some local tag.

Beautiful park with lots of amenities. Walking around you can take in the natural peace and quiet of nature. Trails are well maintained and clean. Some trails are just for mountain biking other are dual purpose for bikes and walking. There is also a disk golf course and picnic areas.

Love this park for many reasons! The trails are great! I saw these beautiful Turtles today, plus Blue Herons, Dragon Flies. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to explore nature so close to home!

Great place to have group parties with kids and events. Our office at Keller Williams have Red Day once a year where real estate agents give back to our community. We have sponsored the special needs kids for the past 4 years at Birch Grove Park. They have 4 picnic benches, a lake view, bathrooms. Plenty of space with a park and playground surrounded by nature.
