DO NOT COME HERE Catastrophe! We arrived at 10:30 and finally someone answered the phone at 11:30. We reserved site 791 one year ago, Cindy Preston Aguilar the manager called and informed us last May, she had given away our site to one of the camp hosts who were in a park model. Cindy informed us that 671 was available and had sewer, water, and electricity and it would fit our large rig. We arrived at the site at 11:30 and neighbor in 673 was parked there with his work truck. He informed us that Cindy KNEW there was no water, sewer or electricity in this site for the past year. We tried to park in 670 as we knew it was available - there was a car parked (and the owner refused to move it). We moved to 313, vehicles parked in the driveway who refused to move them (a camp host). We moved to 382, cars parked (and wrapped in tarp’s) the person refused to move those as well. We went to 2 other sites, we could not get the rig into these sites. Finally at 3:30 (we walked around the park because there were no 4 seater golf carts available to take us about to view the different RV sites) we moved to 361, backed in THERE WAS NO POWER AT THIS SITE! Camp host gave us permission to use the neighbor’s power as they were away. We asked the camp host to see if the site behind us (which had power) was available. He said it was not on the list that the manager Cindy Preston Aguilar had given him and he would get into trouble if he allowed us on any other site. Truth be told, we found out the next that that this site was actually available as of Oct. 1. CATASTROPHE! Do NOT believe anything that comes out of Cindy Preston Aguilar’s mouth, she does not tell the truth. She wanted full payment up front before we even arrived, instead of giving us credit for our $200 deposit on our account. Since Cindy took away our first reservation and gave it to a camp host, we certainly had reservations. DO NOT COME HERE - TOO MUCH DRAMA, NO TRUTH, NO ELECTRICITY, NO PROPER SEWER AT MOST SITES! Go ANYWHERE ELSE - worst experience ever!!

We've been wintering at BOH since 2018 with a one year interruption. The office staff is friendly and helpful (100 % improvement when compared to the previous regime.)There are many activities at BOH. It's the individual's fault if he/she is bored. My favorite activities in the park are line dancing, the weekly dances, some of the games, the exercise classes, the bicycle club and meeting new residents. B0H is close to the US/Mexican border and airports in Harlingen and McAllen. Local parks offer walking and bicycling trails, countless restaurants offering local cuisine, American favorites, Thai, sushi, barbecue, and many more. Many cruise ships depart from Galveston, and there are future plans to make Brownsville a cruise departure port. I like to stay for a month after the winter season because it is very quiet, a time of winding down, and you see residents you don't normally see during the season. Water aerobics, massages, salon services, yoga, line dance lessons, and much more is offered. I encourage folks to come and check out BOH . It's a fun place to enjoy in the winter, and you'll definitely want to return.
