Jerod was great. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all our questions and we felt at ease with him. Unfortunately the type of resort is not how we usually camp. If it was, we would have definitely signed up.

Members only campground. No nightly rates available. Free to camp once you purchase membership. Also comes with access to other campgrounds. Ask them for a tour if interested.

Absolutely loved my camping experience here. Everyone was extremely kind. Was nervous having my 1 year old grandson camping with us for his 1st time camping but Everyone we encountered made sure to go out of their way to make him smile and laugh. It truly felt like family. Mark of you see this you are the best feature of this campground and the security man with the bat tattoo I can't remember his name. You two were so amazing. Truthfully the whole crew is amazing. I have never witnessed another campground actually help campers set up their campers or rvs until this trip 10/5 stars just for that ❤️ Thank you everyone for the hugs as we left i didn't want to leave! We can't wait to come back!! My only suggestion change the timed lights in the restrooms no one likes being left in the dark 🤣

I purchased a new camper from General RV in Huntley Illinois. Kept on getting calls 21 free days of camping Plus a $50 gas card For going on a tour through the campground. They asked me if I was married I said yes, but we are separated, and my wife will not be attending the tour. I arrived at the appointment for the tour at 10 AM on a Sunday. My only day off drove an hour to get there. When I arrived a manager came out and asked where my spouse was. I said she will not be able to make it today. He said well unfortunately without her you will not qualify for the 21 nights or the $50 gas card. I told him I am still married technically, but we are separated and I showed him that I’m not even wearing a wedding ring anymore. He said well no sir don’t lie to me now you told me you were married. I said yes I am but separated and he said well you didn’t say that at first I said well I am saying it now. He was being a complete ass. I told him I should’ve listened to all the bad reviews I read about the new management and not of wasted my time today. I walked out I will never go there again. Also I could care less about the gas card. Tell you the truth I was only going to stay there a night anyway to try out my new camper I’m from Illinois I don’t really want to go camping in Illinois. Please read reviews before camping here you don’t want to make your first trip a bad experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We absolutely loved our stay at Black Hawk Campground! ⛺️ The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from start to finish. Our campsite was clean, spacious, and perfectly set up for a relaxing weekend. One of the highlights was the FREE kayak use — such a great bonus! The kids had an amazing time on the river, and it was a safe, fun environment for them to enjoy the outdoors. Definitely a family-friendly spot we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and make great memories!
