I pay you guys to be here and enjoy like all else but when you mention to me and my family that we were going over 5mph on a scooter that I was trying to get up hill then went to the basketball court to play ball I have a problem. The problem is that when you mentioned that I passed by your manager in his truck speeding on my scooter he took off speeding himself leaving the property. The nerve to think your above all.

Used to be a beautiful park. Not as much now that it is under new ownership. Members only or seasonals but you have to ask about seasonals to get it. Membership is essentially a timeshare.

Friendly, clean, many of the campers are respectful. No loose dogs and the quiet times are enforced.

This is a great spot by the river. Met the owners one day who told us it went through a huge renovation after they bought it recently. They cleaned up all sorts of trash. You can't even tell. This place is well taken care of and the staff is very friendly and helpful! Rockford doesn't really have much going for it, but there's some beautiful hiking around this campground.

My wife and I came up for a free weekend. Daisia (Day) was our tour guide. She was fantastic. All the staff is very nice and helpful with any needs. Day answered all our questions and had a great sense of humor. The campground is very clean and the scenery is beautiful! We really enjoyed the weekend and look forward to many more visits in the future!

We stayed overnight on our return trip to Minneapolis in a pop up camper that we had purchased in Indianapolis. The campground is quite large, having 500 sites. It is an older campground, and sites are packed very close together. Considering that this campground is reasonably close to Chicago, it is understandable that it is large with closely packed sites. Restroom facilities are rather limited for a campground of this size. For example, our loop with 100 campsites had two outdoor privies, and a single building with showers, flush toilets and running water sinks.

It's a clean quiet place. Friendly office personnel. They have somethings for kids, but not very much. A river runs on the backside of the campground to float on. The grounds has lots of trees for shade. All of which are trimmed high enough and space to maneuver your camping unit.
