The park offers an absolutely beautiful view of the Nahanni mountains and is well worth a stop. The camping facilities also seemed very well kept. Side note: I'm not sure if the park charges admission. They have signs that say to check in with a ranger after you enter the park, similar to Saamba Deh Territorial Park, which does charge an admission, but we couldn't find a single other person there. The public restrooms were also locked, even though the park gate was open.

Beautiful park along the Liard River! Great management. Nice cabin and camping spots! Watch that the birds don't steal your food! Also check the shower hours when you arrive as they conserve water at the park. P.S. A previous review called Liard River a lake, but it's definitely a river. We tried canoeing upstream, and it was much more difficult than expected!

We stayed here around August 15 ish and there was only one other family. The lake is right next to it but the boat launch area was very rocky. Sites have no electricity, water, or sewage. Many water tanks are nearby with drinking water. Showers are open from 8 am-11 am and 6 pm-8 pm. Bathrooms are pretty clean. There are a few small trails near the lake. Would recommend for a one night stop if you're heading towards B.C. The highway coming to the campsite is unpaved and has loose gravel, rocks, dirt, and mud. Would not recommend going this way unless necessary.

Blackstone is one of the most scenic territorial park in the NWT. Make sure you bring provisions and supplies as there no services near here. The people who manage the park are really nice and the workers are really friendly.
