The campground was very clean and well kept. Definitely plan to go back and visit again. We take an annual Thanksgiving trip every year. Due to the government shut down of the COE campgrounds we ended up at Blanton Creek. Unfortunately the lake levels were low to allow for maintenance. There was lots of mud and constructions sounds to enjoy. We look forward to going back this summer when the lake is back up and we can enjoy the water.

The campground itself was nice, well kept and was pretty quiet. However when we got there the lady at the gate informed us there was 0, none, zilch water in the lake! This would have been nice to know before we get to the gate. We had fishing gear and really wanted to do some fishing. We made the best of it and the kids played in the mud instead. Good thing the washer and dryer was free LOL. Also, and I know this was a one time thing but they were installing new docks around the campground. The pile driver they were using was quite loud and they started at 8am. Not singing the campground for this as it will be nice to have the new docks but we obviously had horrible timing! Oh well, will try again and see how next trip goes!

This park is a bit off the beaten path, but worth the trek. Bathroom is very clean. The wooded sites are beautiful. The lake views are stuning w the foliage in color. The staff, Donna and Bob were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back.

Booked early to have a nice spot on the water where we could swim. Online it says everywhere you can swim but you can’t bc of gators & leeches. So that makes sitting outside in 90degree weather pretty miserable. Also, didn’t realize you could have a camper, a tent, 3 cars(2 blocking the rd) at one site, which was right next to us after we set up. Whether we were inside or out we could hear them. Which isn’t the campers fault, they were there to have a good time & they were. But our hang out faces theirs. So we left early & they won’t refund🤦🏻♀️
