We love this seasonal campground. The campground community is what makes this place great! Every summer we look forward to spending our time here.

The bunkhouse trailer rental was not a great experience, no working lights in the bathroom (had to use my own lanterns), very used and almost nonexistent thin mattress on the bunk beds with stained covers, did not use them. Not all lighting would work in the main area, very worn couch and cushions in the dining area with peeling flooring with a screen door that would not stay closed unless the outside door was closed and it was held on by yarn. All in all not a great experience. No where near the picture posted online.

Small nice area for a get a away weekend. My family had a get together and the area is nice. The bathrooms are in good condition. The only complaint I have is that there are several children driving around on golf carts, but when my daughter was driving one, she got stopped and asked for her license once (which she does have) and told to slow down when she was completely stopped. Then my niece was driving around and then also immediately stopped. It seems they treat visitors different than those who live there. The other kids riding around were no older than 11 or 12 and I doubt they were told anything, as they rode around the entire day we were there. Just be aware if you have teens and they ride the carts.

Came with the family here for Labor Day weekend 2024, my parents rented 2 cabins for the 3 day weekend and we rented a camper spot. Spent a total of $800 amongst the family, not counting the multiple towels ($14 per towel for paper thin dollar tree quality towels) and other odds and ends that we needed over the weekend. We rented one of the pontoons for a few hours, well they sent a child out to get us on the boat who didn’t seem to know too much about it. Ok no big deal, at least we know about boats so we can figure it out. Well the first boat she tried to put us on, the shift linkage was broken and we needed to be pulled back in. Sat on it for a good 30 mins and got burned for no reason while the guys tried to figure it out. Got moved to a second boat and that one made it about 15 ft out and then wouldn’t move. Also sat there another 30 mins then needed pulled back in to the dock. Whatever stuff happens, we weren’t worried too much about it. The girl said we could get our money back and the office offered us the boat in the morning for free for the inconvenience. Next day we go to check on the boat and office staff was unsure if it was even repaired. Instead of playing musical chairs on boats for an hour again we just decided to ask for a golf cart. They were kind enough to let us use the golf cart and we offered to pay for it for the extra time and were told no, take it for the day it’s fine. We were told no kids could drive it, no one under the age of 16. I let my niece who is 18 drive it and she was immediately flagged down by a minor that works or lives there? and asked for her license and told to go the speed limit of 5 mph. She went to take her license out her pocket and was told no it’s fine I don’t need to see it. It struck us as odd especially since there were multiple young girls flying by on golf carts, but we didn’t say anything. We let our daughter drive the golf cart one lap and she was also immediately flagged down and asked for a license. She didn’t even have pockets much less a wallet on her so they came to the campsite and were aggressively demanding to see her license. She did not have it on her and this seemed to be a huge problem for them. If this is the case then, perhaps we should submit licenses at the time of rental so there is no continuous harassment the entire time people have your golf carts. Service was just slow overall, the first two days we were patient and didn’t let us bother us but after the whole chasing our kids down demanding licenses, well our patience was lost. This is a nice small place for the kids, we felt very safe setting them free to ride bikes and play around. Curfew is at 1030 for the kids which was also nice. My sons crocs were stolen at the beach during the bubble party. I went to the front and asked them if anyone had turned them in thinking maybe someone had accidentally put on the wrong shoes, and was told “maybe a sibling put them on.” Instead of “we’ll keep an eye out or we’ll call you if they show up.” Just completely dismissed the facts his shoes were taken and he had nothing to out on his feet. I actually wouldn’t even have anything bad to say if it weren’t for the last day all the shenanigans over a golf cart. It was not brand new and looked about as wore out as the boats that refused to work for us. I’m sure maybe it’s a nice place if you live there or are seasonal, they definitely seem to show preference to those people as you can tell by them flying by on golf carts (also young Children driving as well) and not being told a thing or harassed. Bathrooms and showers were actually decent. Firewood sucked- was very very hard to get the fire going even with a fire starter. People partied all night, were very loud well until 3 am. Did not bother us, but could bother the next person who is trying to relax. Sadly I don’t think we will go back. Too much of a hassle to do anything when we just wanted to go have a good time with the family.

Man I don’t even know where to start. We tent camped for 2 nights. Price was $70 for both nights per site which I feel is very reasonable. The lake is beautiful. The beach is clean and very relaxing to chill out at. Bath house/ restroom is super clean and well maintained. The only negative thing I can say is I wish the shower water was adjustable for temperature. The store/ office: everyone working is super friendly and makes you want to feel at home like they have known you forever. The ice cream is amazing, and they have all the essentials you’ll need if you forget something. Ice, firewood, aloe, advil, etc! The site we were on had full hookups for campers and what not, so it’s not like they put you off somewhere just because you have a tent. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a getaway right on a beautiful lake! I will be back in the future

These people ripped us off with our $100 security deposit!! We stayed in the travel trailer. There was no bed sheets, linens, soaps to wash dishes, or trash bags available. We stopped at the dollar store in Churubusco to by our own sheets and other items not provided. When we left, we were charged our entire $100 refund with the reason being that we left a boxed food item in the freezer, some dishes on the counter, and a pair of shoes. Otherwise left the place very tidy. It makes us wonder if the dishes provided are even sanitized properly when staff places them in shelves. We tried to talk to management multiple times and they also promised to call us back. No response was received and they were adamant that they were going to take the entire refund and not even return a portion of it. This place looks for any excuse possible to take peoples refund, false advertises on website and expectations on phone, uses the kids they have working as their pawns to deflect conflict with management, and makes their majority of money with high probability of screwing people out of their entire $100 refund. Never go here and I will tell and have told many people to avoid this place at all cost!

I don't know what's up with all the negative posts I guess to each there own experience. However me and my wife were reading them on route to the place and were getting worried. When we arrived we wanted to look at the rustic cabin because I reserved it. Well it really wasn't great for my little kids because of how high the loft was. We were gonna leave until we were offered the bunk house for the kids witch was a rv. It was the best experience we had and the kids loved it. Very well clean and the staff went above and beyond expectations so me and my family can have a great time. Everyone waved and smiled and people were very nice. The boat rental was great and fun and the staff member who I am sorry I can't remember his name jumped in the lake to help me with the boat. We will definitely return but for longer time. Please give this place a chance we experienced nothing bad here.
