Absolutely loved our 3 week stay at the Thousand Trails Blue Mesa Campground as well as the surrounding area. Gunnison, Colorado, was very welcoming and had all of the shopping we needed.

Besides being surrounded by unparalleled beauty and lovely amenities, the surprising advantage to this campground is for big rigs with 50 amp service. The larger sites are marked “closed”, and they require permission from the office to get one! No more small campers hogging all the larger sites!! That makes this campground SO NICE for us!! 50 amps and plenty of room even though the camp was very full when we arrived! The 30 amp spaces are first come first chosen.

We enjoyed our stay in our camper trailer. The location is nice because it's right by the water and not far from Gunnison. The campground is nice and taken care of. The restrooms were clean but the shower mats need better cleaning. We were disappointed that we were delayed in getting to the campground since we drove from Colorado Springs and when we got there they were closed and their policy states if you arrive after the sun sets you need to stay in the parking lot until 9am the next morning. We understand it was our fault for being so late but we called 5 times to let them know and never reached anyone. They left our paperwork in the box but it said we were staying at a site that was already used so we had to sleep in our trailer in the parking lot with no water or electricity. It was very inconvenient but overall the site is nice. We just wish there was a better policy if people are late.

Nice location. Got a spot up top by the cabins so we could see the lake. Internet never worked. Showers were really old and not clean, so bring your own. Our kids enjoyed the pools and arcade center. We had a free pass that came with our new trailer. We'd come here again if it was free, but might venture someplace new next time.

This is the second Thousand Trails park we have stayed at. The park is in very good condition, the high-desert sites are quite large, and they have some sites tucked away in the woods for smaller gear and tents. Most sites are 30 amps. There are 8 new washers and dryers that take 8 quarters per cycle. There is a nice activity center, an indoor pool and an outdoor one, and both were open. Kids fishing area. Here in a 30 foot travel trailer in July. Aside from struggling with acclimation to 8500 feet, it has been great.

Staying in one of the cabins. Highly recommended....clean comfortable and the hospitality at the office is amazing. We already have a reservation for next season. Thank you so much.

This place has become our home away from home! Everyone there feels like new found family. My kids absolutely love it! From the indoor pool, ready for any Colorado weather, to the games, to all the things to do around the area. So glad we joined this awesome place. Looking forward to many more years to come here!!!

Been a member for 6 years and was told all sites to be upgraded to 50 amp. No upgrades to the sites so if it’s hot you can’t run both AC units. Staff were very rude to us when we tried to make simple complaints and threatened to throw us, paid members, out. No cell phone or WiFi so if you have a medical emergency no way of calling for help. The lake is being drawn down and will never be back to normal in our lifetimes. The other parks in the system are low grade and not accessible. Would never make the mistake of joining this bait and switch outfit.😡

Been owners at the ranch for a few years now. Took my family here for a cabin get -together in Aug.. The cabin was pretty tiny for booking eight people. It was surface only cleaned as the mice droppings and smell were prominent. Dirt was thick under the couch and dust and webs hung from the ceiling .Have seen little improvement in fixing up and even maintaining the buildings and playing area, as well as the uncleanness of the showers and pool. The office staff was friendly but any issues fell on deaf ears with no follow up.as I did contact them both by phone and email.Probably will be pulling our membership and not returning or recommending.

NEAR-PERFECT RV PARK!!! We loved the large lots with beautiful views of the Gunnison Reservoir area, friendly staff, multiple pools and hot tubs, charming desert landscape, and last, but not least... HORSEBACK RIDING with Dwayne and Cristian - the best ever - so relaxing and fun riding up and down the terrain overlooking camp! That was definitely our favorite activity at BMRR. The only reason we gave it 4 stars was because of the lack of cell signal, since we work from home as we travel. The ICE LAB in town was AWESOME for that, but my husband hated leaving camp every day for his 9-5!
