This park offers a lot! Hiking trails, playground, two towers with great views and an additional viewing area with a unique winding walkway, a very nice swimming pool, mountain biking trail, rocks, flowers, and wildlife. This place has it all! There is a lot of parking here in several areas. Quite a few restrooms. Lots of tables and grills. Several shelters. This is a great place to spend a day or a weekend. Can't go wrong visiting here, I highly recommend it! Be sure to check out Cave of the Mounds when in the area, especially if you've never been. It's an incredibly unique experience, and one of my favorite places in the state!

We hosted our wedding here! Used the Amphitheater for our ceremony and the Friends Shelter for our reception. It was the most beautiful day on the mound. The DNR staff were wonderful to work with, accommodating several needs we had both before and day after the event. Many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and the location and amenities had a lot to do with it! Blue Mound will always have a special place in our hearts!

Beautiful state park. The entrance office is air conditioned with very clean bathrooms and lots of info & pamphlets. We went there for the observation tower which did not disappoint. I had no idea before going that there was a splash pad and pool! Very cool

Stopped here during our road trip on the way to Missouri! We got to climb the tower and it was amazing! Definitely a good stop to get out and stretch and have a good time! Highly recommend! And super cheap too!

This is a great park. Plenty of rugged trails to really get your nature on. If you go in the Spring, make sure to wear waterproof shoes or boots. The trails get mighty muddy, no choice but to slog through at some points.
