This stunning 5.7 mile trail was a trek yet offers peace and serenity in the forest along a lake that dried up mostly. Definitely an experience as the boardwalk in middle of the forest above a stream was a happy surprise. Bring water as there are no water refill stations. Make sure to find the swing thats off the trail which was a fun touch to a day in nature.

We enjoyed the wolf 1 group campsite. It is a beautiful campground. Unfortunately there was a lot of trash and some clothing inside the shelter and a bit of trash on the campsite grounds when we got there. I'd give it 5 starts of it did not appear that someone had been living in the shelter. Maybe more after hours patrols of the sites when not in use. The restrooms are about a 10 minute walk from the group site. Not advisable to walk alone at night to the restroom. A very dog friendly park. The dogs were happy and loudly enjoying their park at 5AM.

Easy trails. Beautiful park but the lake water is no more, very sad.

The park this time around wasn’t up to the expectations. The water had completely dried up. Somehow was quite disappointed with the park this time around. And somehow felt that it needed an upkeep and maintenance. The only good thing is was able to spot a cute deer on my way back.
