On a trip to the area our 2 year old son suddenly became ill and we brought him into the ER. The receptionist, Jamie, and Dr. Westin were amazing! I had prayed when I arrived for compassionate and kind staff who cared and we got just that. Thank you all for the service you provide and for doing it so well!

When I was admitted there it took 2 hours for the doctor( who was wearing a designer track suit?) to get to me. This was earlier in the morning with hardly any patients there. Without telling me what he was about to do he lifted, up my shirt to press on my stomach and then told me they had no IV fluids. I was severely dehydrated and needed an IV. $2500 charge for essentially a pepto bismal mixture and Gatorade. Definitely go to PA where the doctors and nurses are actually professional and have empathy.

Happy to have a ER in the rural community for actual emergency situations. But be forewarned, you are treated like cattle with the lack of empathy, lack of professionalism and lack of actually treating what’s wrong. Every other hospital I’ve been to I feel like I’m being treated like a human. Go to OMC in port Angeles unless you’re dying.

July 6, 2024 just after 3pm I had my boyfriend take me to the Forks hospital ER. I have been sick off & on over 3 months stared with my voice going in & out. I get this every year. I keep getting worse was getting hot then cold my head was hurting. It was getting harder & harder for me to breathe. My feet were really swollen & my legs. I started getting a rash on both my legs & some on my arms. & still having all these problems. There was only one other person @ the ER. Another Guy & a lady had told me that they were there for there dad & They had not been there to long..& there was no one else there. Sat in waiting room for close to a hour. Finily got taken back to a room by a nurse she took my blood pressure & tep. Asked why I was there got part of it out but before I could finish the doctor came in asking her to come sight something so she left. She was gone close to a hour. When she finily came back she did a few things on the lap top. Then left. I was so hot had to go in bathroom to slash water in my face. Good thing I had my water cup with me my mouth was so dry so I had my boyfriend get me fresh water & fresh ice. & to stopped by & asked the doctor why this was taking so long the doctor told him he was looking over my paper work I few mins went by doctor walked did not stop by & talk to me. Still there was only me & the other person. I started getting cold & hot again then so cold I could not stop shacking so my boyfriend had got me a blanket. I asked him to please go ask doctor again what was going on & tell him I was walking out in 5-mins & going home if he was not coming In to see me. I just could not handle it any more wanted to just go home & go to bed. It was after 5pm by then. So went to bathroom again & walked out. There was no reason that I had to wait as long as I did. What on earth was going on is this what they do to bring In money just saying. Just don't get it. I am still sick but not going back there anytime soon. Something needs to be done about this.
