Husband and I are on the road again and recently made a stop at Bogue Chitto Water Park and RV Campground in McComb, MS. Located just off US-98 E on Dogwood Trail, about 10 miles from town, we were impressed from the start. The campground was quiet, clean, and full of trees, which gave it a rustic, relaxing feel. We stayed two nights at site #13, which had full hookups —water, power, and sewer — for just $40 per night. The pads were spacious, featuring picnic tables and covered trash cans. Dana at the office was friendly and attentive. The secure, locked gate made us feel safe, and the weather was perfect. We’ll definitely be back!

This is NOT A WATER PARK. This a rafting and tubing place. Name is misleading.

My husband and I recently made a stop at Bogue Chitto Water Park and RV Campground in McCombe, MS during our travels. Located just off US-98 E on Dogwood Trail, about 10 miles from town, we were impressed right from the start. The park's tranquil atmosphere, cleanliness, and secure facilities, including locked gates, made us feel completely at ease. The spacious pads with full hookups, picnic tables, and covered trash cans were a welcome convenience. We enjoyed a pleasant 2-night stay, with check-in at 2 PM and check-out at 11 AM, all at an affordable price of $30. Needless to say, we're already looking forward to returning.

Talked with the current manager about what is trending at the park. Due to Staff shortages, there is NO DAY-USE ALLOWED at the park. ONLY Overnight RV and Cabin rentals. The Boat ramp IS available for pickup and drop off only. They ALSO have hiking trails for overnighters. The future is bright because the park is to receive allocation from the state For Improvements probably beginning next year ( 2024 ). I was allowed and able to drive thru the park & liked what I saw. SOME of the campsites COULD have been cleaner ( but a camper IS " roughing it " right ? ). The AREAS around ALL the Cabins WERE neat and clean. IF the opportunity ever presents itself, this would be my 1st adventure on my way to parts unknown.

We parked here with our 5th wheel for work. 10 days now. Nice quiet place with walking trails, picnic table and updated electric at some sites. Older rv park that was booming in the 70s being slowly brought back to life
