Overview

Bolivar Peninsula RV Park offers a welcoming retreat for travelers seeking the coastal charm of the upper Texas shore. Situated in the heart of Crystal Beach, this park provides a balanced mix of modern convenience and a relaxed seaside atmosphere. It serves as a peaceful home base for those looking to trade the city noise for the sound of the surf and the gentle coastal breeze. The park is well-maintained, offering a tidy environment for short-term visitors and long-term guests alike.

Location & Surroundings

The park is located on the scenic Bolivar Peninsula, a narrow strip of land separating the Gulf of Mexico from East Galveston Bay. Travelers often arrive via the Galveston-Bolivar Ferry, a unique and free transport experience that offers frequent dolphin sightings and harbor views. The surrounding landscape is characterized by wide, sandy beaches and vast salt marshes, providing a true coastal escape that feels worlds away from the more crowded urban tourist hubs.

Amenities & Park Features

Designed with modern RVers in mind, the park features level concrete pads that accommodate large rigs and multi-slide out trailers with ease. Guests have access to full hookup sites including 30 and 50-amp electricity, water, and sewer. To ensure a comfortable and convenient stay, the facility provides climate-controlled bathhouses and reliable on-site laundry services. The spacious layout is intentionally designed to offer a sense of privacy while maintaining a friendly, communal spirit among fellow travelers.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor enthusiasts will find a wealth of activities to explore just minutes from their campsite. The beaches of Crystal Beach are perfect for beachcombing, shore fishing, and scenic sunset strolls along the Gulf. Nature lovers can drive a short distance to the High Island bird sanctuaries or the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge for premier wildlife viewing. For a bit of local history, Fort Travis Park offers a glimpse into the area’s military past, featuring walking trails and grassy picnic spots overlooking the ship channel.

Definitely need to get WiFi or have a stronger network for it so I can do my business from work when I come to stay at my RV. I rented spot 13 for 6 to 8 months and WiFi was so complicated to get so I think the amount for rental spaces should be equipped with sufficient WiFi as well. Thank you for wonderful place

This and amazing RV park! I have been staying there every summer for over 10 years, the office staff are amazing always friendly and helpful, it’s less than a mile from the beach. There is a small lake on the property that is home to some lovely ducks! It feels like I’m come home every time I go!

This is a great place to stay in your RV if your main attraction is going to the beach. This park is more economical compared to nearby resorts. Our thinking was for this trip we don't need all the amenities just a place to stay when back from the beach. The spots are grass with a concrete pad for the living table. Just watch out for ants and biting insects while on the grass in your beach sandals. Mosquitos were not bad either. There is a fishing pond too here but no pool or bar etc to keep the rates low.
