Another mama friend and I rented the deluxe cabin while we volunteered for a weekend event hosted at KOA / Boulevard. I have to hand it to the KOA crew-- The team was super helpful throughout the weekend. My friend and I have kiddos under 5 who came along, and the cabin rental was key to a smooth and successful experience in the August heat (90s and sunny). The KOA staff really went above and beyond to help us get what we needed all weekend, and their efforts boosted both the event and our experience...So A+ customer service. The facility itself was lovely, clean, and well-stocked. Lots of fun for the kiddos with the pool, archery, hiking paths, koi pond. I'm looking forward to returning to simply relax and reconnect with nature.

Everything about this campground is 5-star to infinity. From the price to the numerous amenities to the sweet surprise of pigs roaming around, ostriches in the coral just several feet from our site, roosters crowing at dawn, a random donkey bray here and there, Milky Way disc view from the stargazing plateau, perfect restroom/showers, the list goes on….. It all started with a phone call and WENDY answered who is now the best camp host on the planet and my new best friend! Thank you Wendy and thanks to my son Andrew for finding this sweet gem! We love you, Wendy!! Always, René xoxo

We stayed here in June of 2025. We planned to stay for 4 nights, but left after 3. First I will say the staff is very nice. That was probably the only positive of this experience though. The sites are loose sand and not even close to level. We were driving a 30' motorhome with a 12' attached trailer making us pretty long. We had a pull through site. When we first did the auto-level the jacks lifted our front tire completely off the ground to try and get level (not good for the jacks). So we had to back up a few times to find a better spot to keep all the tires down. When we then started to set up our campsite we discovered red fire ant hills all around our RV. Due to this we opted not to set up any outside furniture or spend any time outside. Our first full day there we attended an event in San Diego. We got back to the campsite about 6:30pm and planned to get into the pool only to discover that it closes at 7pm. That seems really early for a pool in the middle of summer. Fast forward to Saturday morning, and the day we decided to leave. We received a text message that there was a private event happening in the park that day and the following day. Due to this event parts of the park, including several sites, a road leading through the park, and the rec center would be closed to anyone not attending the party. They also adjusted the pool hours to accommodate "private hours" for the party attenders. I'm sure the party was great for those attending, but for the rest of us that paid to enjoy all the amenities of the park, it was pretty crappy. Especially since we got no notice other than a text the day of. At this point we decided just to leave early. Our site had a large tree to the right of us, so our plan was to make a left out of the site and drive around the rec center to the exit. Unfortunately that was the road that was closed. In order to leave, we had to swing to the left and then make a hard right to avoid the tree, which meant driving half way through the campsite across the street from us. We questioned the staff about this beforehand and he "warned" the people camping across from us that we were going to drive through their campsite temporarily. That was nice, but still should not have been necessary. All in all, the campsite itself wasn't nearly as nice as several other KOAs we have stayed at (and we have stayed at a lot). I also have a huge issue with booking a private party and limiting the amenities of other paid guests without any warning. (Pictures below of the large tree to the right we had to avoid to pull out as well as the road closed to our left)

It was my friend's birthday and I wanted to have her experience the finest and the happiest. So we came to Jacumba Hot Spring to have lunch. We both asked for FISH. We were served the finest fish, Halibut, cooked deliciously. We loved the dish and recommend it on the lunch MENU. Plus they brought a birthday dessert to my friend and gush this too was sooo nice. It was a happy surrounding with classy people we met and i only can recommend this place to anyone who likes to have a blast. THANKS to the cook for accepting our request which was not on the lunch menu. BLESSINGS of love to you all at Jacumba Hot Spring. Love, Ellen and Sylvia

We came thru the mountains going west on Hwy 8. We were not prepared & glad my husband was driving our RV. Coming into this KOA was just lovely. Since it was midweek they were not crowded but just nice. Service was super. We moved from next to the ostrich fence to a more tree lined campsite. Our little dog would have barked so we wanted to avoid any issues. Very accommodating. I would highly recommend this KOA. Clean and inviting. Nice trails to walk our dog too. Enjoy!

This is one of the BEST KOAs we have ever stayed at! The property is very nice, has lots of trees, tons of adorable animals to visit (we loved the pigs and ostriches), a great space to let dogs run around, clean bathrooms, and every site had hookups. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, giving us tons of information about the animals and answering any questions we had. While we could only stay one night, we highly recommend this KOA for those who are looking for a peaceful, clean, and safe campground that offers a nature experience!

A must stay! This place is great. We were only able to spend one night but had we not been on a schedule I could've stayed a week or longer. They check all the normal boxes with clean facilities, laundry, a cute, well stocked camp store, level sites and functional hook ups. But there's a little magic in the air here. The staff is warm and inviting. Ziggy and Zoey (the camp dogs) frolic around and will greet you if you ask. You can visit with ostriches, goats, pigs, and chickens. And the tree shaded sites make you feel cozy and relaxed. They have hiking trails and a place to see the amazing night sky. Seriously dont miss this location, you won't want to leave.

We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. The zip line alone would have kept our kids fully entertained, but add in pig races, a nice playground, koi pond, ostriches...and so much more...we are leaving with some great experiences and memories made. The camp hosts are super friendly and helpful and interested in providing a great experience.

This place is a magic slice of heaven that we feel so lucky to have found. We came for the promise of beautiful night skies (which delivered) and stayed for the incredible serene surroundings, insane customer service, meditation labyrinth, crystal clean pool and gorgeous rescue animals. This is not your average KOA, this is more like a remote retreat. It’s in the elements yet feels secure and safe. We were there with a toddler and newborn in our Airstream with full hook ups and it was awesome. Our toddler was able to be independent safely and didn’t ask for screen time once across the 4 days we were there. Another great highlight were the piggies that wondered through the campsites in the morning. So sad to leave, so excited to find our way back! My soul and energy is restored. Thank you Gabe and the incredible staff for such a life changing escape xx
