Bradsdadsland Resort
Overview
Bradsdadsland Resort is a cherished coastal destination situated on the western edge of Hornby Island. Known for its scenic clifftop location, the park offers a unique opportunity to camp overlooking the Lambert Channel. This family-run establishment has provided a rustic and welcoming base for generations of travelers seeking to experience the slower pace of island life while remaining immersed in nature.
Location & Surroundings
Reaching the resort involves a scenic journey via two ferries from Vancouver Island, passing through Denman Island along the way. The park is nestled along the grassy bluffs, providing expansive views of the Salish Sea and incredible sunset opportunities. The surrounding landscape is a mix of open meadows and mature forest, creating a quintessential West Coast atmosphere that feels worlds away from the mainland.
Amenities & Park Features
The resort specializes in a traditional camping experience that encourages guests to disconnect. While it offers spacious grassy sites for RVs and trailers, guests should note that this is primarily a dry-camping destination without individual power or water hookups. On-site facilities include clean washrooms with flush toilets, hot showers, and a popular playground area for children. A small concession stand often serves local treats like ice cream during the summer months.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Visitors are just a short drive or bike ride away from the white sands of Tribune Bay Provincial Park, often called the Little Hawaii of the North for its turquoise waters. Hiking enthusiasts will appreciate the dramatic coastal trails at Helliwell Provincial Park. Additionally, the vibrant Hornby Island Co-op and local artisan studios offer a taste of the island's unique culture and creative community through local crafts and food.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is an ideal match for families and nature enthusiasts who prioritize location and atmosphere over modern luxury amenities. It is perfect for RVers who enjoy a communal spirit and are prepared for a self-contained stay. If you value stunning ocean sunsets and a quiet, unplugged environment, Bradsdadsland Resort offers a memorable escape from the hustle of daily life.

The vintage trailer sucked that it had no screens. I was tormented by wasp. I'm told owners don't care. I believe it's over priced for a glorified tent. Stove and fireplace is for looks only. Good size fridge tho. That's really too bad because I might have booked again.

The place is truly beautiful — stunning views of the water and unforgettable sunset (as you can see in the pictures). But unfortunately, it’s hard to enjoy this natural beauty because of the overly strict rules. Quiet hours are enforced so early and so strictly that even walking quietly at 10 PM led to complaints from neighboring campers — they said the sound of our footsteps was disturbing their sleep! What happened to enjoying the peaceful nights, the moonlight, the stars, and the fresh evening breeze? If you’re looking to fully experience the magic of island nights, this might not be the right place.

Bradsdads Campgroud site on Hornby Island is great! The service and warmth exceptional. They are busy, friendly and efficient. We stayed in a retro camper on site. Such a cute idea, however, super uncomfortable beds in our trailer. I checked in our neighbours retro trailer and they had a much more comfortable bed. I would recommend updating the mattress for the beds in the smallest trailer, otherwise we were very happy otherwise. Happy to return to another camper

Bradsdadsland is the perfect campsite to stay at on Hornby. It has plenty of amenities such as showers, laundry, a compost/recycling/garbage centre, a small “store” with essentials at the main check-in area, different types of sites available with different features, and a playground for kids. It is very family-friendly and very well maintained. The sites are all private and it is close to the ferry. Everyone is extremely friendly. I highly recommend this site!

Great campsite with amazing views! Facilities are clean and the staff are really nice. My only point of feedback is the showers are $1 for 2 minutes, which is pretty short. But it was still great to have a clean hot shower at the end of the day!
