Brewer's

Overview

Brewer's Campground is a centerpiece of the Gull Lake area, offering a quintessential Central Alberta camping experience. Located within the popular Aspen Beach Provincial Park, this facility provides a mix of natural beauty and convenient access to one of the region's largest lakes. The park is characterized by its lush greenery and proximity to the sandy shores, making it a staple for those looking to escape into the great outdoors without sacrificing comfort. It serves as an inviting base for exploring the diverse landscapes of the parkland region.

Location & Surroundings

Situated just a short drive from the charming town of Bentley, AB, the park is nestled on the northern edge of Gull Lake. The surrounding landscape features a blend of parkland prairies and thick tree cover, providing ample shade and privacy for many sites. Its position allows for easy travel to larger centers like Red Deer or Lacombe, yet it maintains a distinct lakeside retreat atmosphere. The park is surrounded by protected natural areas, ensuring that the local wildlife and flora remain a central part of the visual experience.

Amenities & Park Features

The campground is well-equipped for modern RVers, featuring power-hookup sites that accommodate various rig sizes and power needs. Visitors have access to clean washroom facilities with flush toilets and showers, which are essential for multi-day stays. Each site typically includes a private fire pit and picnic table, encouraging traditional campfire evenings under the stars. The park also boasts a large sandy beach area and a convenient boat launch, catering to those who bring their own watercraft or enjoy lakeside lounging.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Beyond the water, guests can explore the Bentley Farmers Market, known throughout the region for its local crafts and fresh produce. The area is also part of a larger trail system, offering paved paths for cycling and hiking that wind through the provincial park and connect to nearby scenic viewpoints. Gull Lake itself is a hub for fishing, sailing, and swimming, while the town of Bentley offers unique boutique shopping and historical architecture for those who enjoy a quiet afternoon of local culture.

Who This Park Is Best For

This destination is an ideal match for families and groups seeking a social and activity-filled vacation. Because of the shallow lake waters and dedicated playground facilities, it is particularly well-suited for travelers with young children. It is also a prime choice for water sports enthusiasts who want immediate access to a boat launch and beach. RVers who appreciate a well-maintained, provincial park setting with reliable amenities will find that this park perfectly fits a traditional summer travel style.

Bentley Library always goes above and beyond to serve the community. They have great children's programs/activities to keep kids reading. I love their selection of games, books, puzzles, and even physical activity equipment!
