Broke Mill RV Park

Overview

Broke Mill RV Park stands out as a premier destination for travelers exploring the high desert landscapes of Southwest Texas. Located just outside the city limits of Del Rio, this park offers a spacious and manicured environment that balances modern convenience with the tranquil beauty of the frontier. Whether you are passing through on your way to Big Bend or staying for a season, the park provides a clean, well-organized home base. The atmosphere is professional yet welcoming, characterized by paved interior roads and wide-open views that highlight the region's famous sunsets.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in Val Verde County, the park is positioned perfectly for those wanting to escape the congestion of major cities while remaining close to essential services. The surrounding terrain is classic West Texas, featuring low-lying scrub and expansive skies. It is conveniently located near Highway 90, making it easy to navigate for big rigs. The proximity to the Amistad National Recreation Area provides a cooling contrast to the desert heat, while the nearby international border adds a unique cultural layer to the local geography.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed with modern RVers in mind, featuring extra-wide concrete pads that accommodate even the largest motorhomes. Each site offers full hookups, including 30 and 50-amp electricity, water, and sewer. Residents have access to a variety of high-quality facilities, such as a large swimming pool and a fully equipped fitness center. For social gatherings, the park offers multiple clubhouses and event spaces, which are often used for community potlucks. Modern laundry facilities and clean private showers ensure a comfortable stay for those on extended trips.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Nature enthusiasts will find plenty to do with Lake Amistad just a short drive away, offering world-class bass fishing, boating, and swimming in crystal-clear water. History buffs can explore the ancient pictographs at Seminole Canyon State Park or visit the Val Verde Winery, which is the oldest continuously operating winery in Texas. For a unique day trip, travelers often visit Whitehead Memorial Museum or spend an afternoon at the San Felipe Springs to enjoy the refreshing natural waters that define the Del Rio area.

Who This Park Is Best For

This facility is an ideal match for Winter Texans and retirees looking for a quiet, high-end community to call home during the colder months. Its level sites and easy maneuvering make it a top choice for big-rig owners who prioritize accessibility and infrastructure over rustic camping. Additionally, outdoor enthusiasts focused on water recreation will appreciate the park as a reliable and secure staging point for excursions to the nearby reservoir. It is best suited for those who value a tidy, secure, and professional RV resort experience.

Very nice RV park. Clean bathhouse and owners were very nice. Level RV sites, quiet place.

Oh we found a gem! Clean, tidy, spacious, organized and at a very reasonable price. The pool was heaven after a day driving the desert. We love it here and would stay longer if we weren’t on our way east.

We love this park. Good even long pads, very clean bathrooms and showers, and very nice people. There is a good bird walk in the back. It's pretty hot for the summer, but fall, spring and winter are awesome. Good shopping and food options in Del Rio, plus the lake.

An oasis in the desert! Truly a remarkable place. Just here overnight, but thinking of ways we can come back. Was lucky to spot it using Google Maps for directions and gps was way off! Be sure to check your directions.
