My husband and I stayed one night. We got there late. Steven, one of the campers, was super helpful pointing us in the right direction on getting a spot. Robert, the campground host, was great and took care of the rest of the way. The only thing I would suggest is better signage to find the campground and then back the to main road. Brookside is a beautiful town and the community was really nice and helpful. There is tent camping and full hookups for those wanting to know. There isn't a gas stations or market nearby, so come prepared.

This is a cute little campground in the heart of the Brookside community. Canoes can be rented at the shed located at the entrance. RV camping is located right behind the softball field/playground. There are several picnic tables located throughout as well as a covered pavilion. You can swim or fish in the creek.

CONTRACT WORKERS: This campground caters to contract workers, Traveling Nurses, Construction Workers, etc!!! Quiet for those who work nights. Plenty of trees for shade. Large campsites. Full hookups, and primative areas. Hiking trail, creek for fishing, swimming, kayaking, and a nice little beach for picnics. The campground is next to a softball field with a playground. Robert, the camp host, keeps things going smoothly. (This is our fourth winter in this campground.)

Small campground several miles off of I-59. I normally make two trips a month of 3 days on the road for each trip. I sleep in the back of my truck. I've slept in many highway rest stops, but my first choice is an electric site that's level and has flush toilets and a hot shower within walking distance of where I park for the night. This little campsite I'm in here at Brookside City Campground hits all the points for only $20, and I didn't even have a reservation. Ehh... What's not to love when you're an old man and not too fussy about accommodations for an evening. I'm putting this place as an option for my route. Thumbs up.
