The following is my review of Brookwood Camp Resort My wife and I stayed here from 9/19/25 to 9/27/25. First of all, I would like to say my wife and I have been camping for over 30 years in various campgrounds (State and Private). I have been camping for 50+ years. Now for the review, the campground is a very well kept facility. My compliments to Mark and his crew, The sites are clean and raked out, the bathroom/shower is very clean and neat. The pool looked very clean and inviting. It was very quiet at night and we got an excellent nights sleep all week. With the exception of one power outage, I believe it was Thursday night, sometime after 10pm and lasted a short time. Fortunately, having battery power it did not impact us at all. Here are my Two complaints about this place: #1 Water pressure is very low, my incoming water pressure gauge in my camper showed approximately 25 psi.(typical house pressure should be between 50 to 70 psi.) As per campground guidelines, I had "NO" pressure regulator in line to affect the water pressure. The site is served by a 1/2" copper water line attached to the pole. This size is not adequate for flow or pressure (considering most rv water hoses are 3/4") When I asked my neighbor about his water pressure he said the place always has low water pressure. I did notice that a few sites were being up graded with 1" poly pipe. #2 When I approached Buffie regarding the water pressure, she began to address me in a very condescending way and would not let me explain how I was set up and how much water pressure I had. When I interrupted her long winded dissertation to try and tell her I had "NO" regulator connected in line. She then accused me of being argumentative and said, "I should leave the camp store because she was going to cry." She then proceeded to turn her back on me and walk away, and leave the camp store by going out the back door. I was taken back by her response to my simple inquiry. I am not an argumentative person and I am not an aggressive person. Also, I do not exaggerate. This is what transpired in the camp store that morning. Other than these two items it was a very nice place to stay. I have seen some of the responses from the owner when there are complaints and their responses are very mean spirited and condescending when they are called out on an issue. So keep that in mind when you read this review and their response.

What a nice Campground, our site was level in a nicely, wooded area. The hook up stand was new and everything worked properly. The pool area is amazing, installed three years ago and they didn’t miss a thing. The Camp store in front has everything you would need and then some. The owners, Mark and Buffy are super friendly and helpful. Nice job guys we will be back A+

My family and I stayed here last week and had a lovely time. The grounds were clean and the cabin was great, we were right across from the pool and close to the playground. The store has anything you might have forgotten. My close friends were staying at Roger’s rock, but we weren’t brave enough to camp with a ten month old. We were close enough to the park and Ticonderoga to enjoy everything, while having a nice room controlled quiet place for the baby to sleep at night. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at the Beaver Den Lake House at Brookwood RV Resort and really enjoyed it. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Two queen bedrooms, a bunk room, full kitchen, grill, fire pit, and a deck to relax on. The resort has great amenities like WiFi, a pool, and live music, and it’s only a few minutes from Ticonderoga. A great spot for a getaway.

We stayed here last week and it was a great experience! The campground was quiet and everyone was so nice. The camp store is so convenient with anything you could think of even for campers. This area is beautiful. We will be back!
