Beautiful spot by the river (#4). Mosquitoes are many but manageable by use of bug coils. Firepit, level campgrounds, friendly hosts. All for $7.50/day w senior pass. What a deal. No cell coverage, potable water from a hand actuated well pump, vault toilets (clean). No garbage anywhere!

No cell coverage. Bathrooms well kept. The loop at the very end has a really tight corner to it. Stayed 3 nights here, never saw a host during our time. Has a 4-wheeler trail that seemed popular. Spots were plenty big and fairly level. There is a musher that lives on the other side of the river. We heard his dogs a few times, but we enjoyed that too.

Lived in a line cabin for the Denali Mine that is owned by BLM. It's on Brushkana Creek due north of the campground until you go down a hill to a bigger creek where Monahans comes in. There's an old bridge there and a great grayling hole. The cabin is west of the bridge. Has two wood stoves in it. We spent the summer and most of the winter of 1978-9 here.Lots of memories. Haven't seen pictures of it for years but I have some.

This is a must if you are going down the Denali highway. 35 miles in from Cantwell this quiet campground can fill up. Great place for fishing, hiking, and camping. No cell service so one can disconnect from society and enjoy the peace and quiet of mother nature. This is a dirt road and an extra spare tire may be a wise choice.

Stopped in for a night and thoroughly enjoyed. Clean, well stocked for as late in the year. Beautiful creek, a couple of trails, fire pits - just what we were looking for.
