Heavy energy, almost fills you with a sadness that is hard to explain. The kind of sadness that burns white hot and boils the blood.

I stayed at the beach campground. It was huge and not crowded so we got a nice large quiet campsite.

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet and humbling. Fishing here is a great way to get back to nature. My father and I had a great time catching perch on from the boat. Remember your sunscreen, bug spray, long sleeves and water!

Beautiful quiet park. Large trees for shade. Nice cut grass all around the park. Each camp site has a rocked driveway to park your camper or vehicle. Horse hitching post at each site. Very well maintained. Horse trails are available to enjoy. There is a camp host on-site for any questions. They are open til 10:30p.m. Daily fees for one site with electric was $27.00 per night. We were not able to rent a space online for some reason, so we took the chance they had one available. The beach campground didn't have any spaces available. The beach side does offer water and electricity at most sites. The Equestrian side does have a dump site with fresh water as well as a fish cleaning station. The boat ramp is very close. Easy access. Brushy Creek is a beautiful non wake lake. There are lots of buried trees all around. You need to watch closely for small stumps sticking out of the water. Many coves to go into. Tons of fish. The deepest that we came upon was 58' deep. Some areas are deeper. I read there are old bridges and roads under the water. Great places for the fish to hide. Read up on the history of the lake. It's pretty interesting.

Love the feel! All are welcome- Horses, dogs, kids & friends!! 😆 Huge individual sites with short walks to the facilities. Plus, there's complimentary places for your horse leavings; complete with fork & easy-to-use wheelbarrow!! Plus a camper clean-out spot on the way out! Definitely will be back!

Well it's 100 degrees, so pretty much anyplace is not great! But, If I were to come here on a pleasant 70 degree day, this place would be great! out of the way, but easy to get to. Quiet, for sure. We got full hook up, but there are electric only as well. This review is for the Beach campground, there are 2 equestrian campgrounds as well, which rv's can go to also. Trails all over for hiking and horses, looks real nice and cared for. Some trees at this campground, trails had lots of trees. The "beach": well, it's kind of swampy, so I did not swim here, but there were 3 boats out fishing early in the morning. Clean, bathroom with showers and real toilets. nice place, thanks!

I camped at the north equine campgrounds. Over 100 spots available and widely spread out. Hot water showers, but the push button only gives you 5 seconds. Well kept as there are 2 campground host. Plenty of trails to keep you busy. Beautiful overlooks and fishing. Bring extra ice for the cooler, nearest ice box that I found was north to Duncombe at a bait and grocery store. Not that far out of the way, but inconvenient. Lots of birds to enjoy. I'll be back.
