No water ,fairly dry, wind in the afternoon. Spacious sites, clean bathrooms. Very nice camp host. Beautiful trail at the campground walking through Buckeye River valley and of course the hot springs nearby. Much more private than any of the campgrounds along the road to Twin lakes. Pretty removed from any activities though.

It is a primitive campsite (no water, no electric, pit toilets) It’s a very remote location, 5 hours from the Bay Area over the Sonora pass, but I love it for the peace and serenity. The area is beautiful with great hiking. The camp host is friendly and helpful. Many of the sites are near the stream that runs through. At 7,000 feet elevation the temperature is moderate even when it’s stifling down in the valleys. The lack of amenities keeps the crowds down. I hesitate to post this review since I don’t want to reveal the secret. The Buckeye Hot Springs are on the grounds. Really nice pool with hot temps. Unfortunately everyone seems to know about it so usually crowded. The town of Bridgeport is 15 minutes away, and offers options for restocking. Also the Twin Lakes resort is close, with a general store, laundry, and showers. The gas stations are ridiculously overpriced however. So much so that I drove 40 minutes into Nevada to get cheaper gas.

A hidden gem of a campground. A lot of different sites to choose from, with a mixture of RV and tent only sites. It's dog friendly too which is a plus. There's no running water, so you'll need to bring what you use. You can also stop by the nearby campsites down Twin Lakes road to fill up on water when needed. The bathrooms are vault toilets, but pretty decent with the host cleaning and restocking the toilet paper. You can buy bundles of firewood from the host. Make sure to bring cash to pay the campsite fees and/or parking extra vehicles. The host was great, stopped by for a little chat each day and made sure everything was good. It's a dirt road out to this campground. It's pretty well maintained, just watch out for loose rocks in certain spots. The road from 395 was closed, but from Twin Lakes it was open.

The campground is perfectly situated to experience the eastern sierras without too much crowding. No bear boxes but the vault toilets are a nice convenience. Lots of campsites to choose from. The campground host was wonderful and the sites were clean.

Great place off the beaten path of you don’t mind driving a few miles of dirt road.

US18/night. It’s about 1 minute to a creek by foot. The environment is good, in the forest. but no drinking water, so pls bring enough water. There are only simple toilets without water inside.

Awesome place for dispersed camping. There is an actual campground with facilities. Be careful of bears. There are hot springs nearby.

There are a lot of beautiful sites here but ots been closed for the season due to fires. Very clean but also no amenities other than pit toilets and picnic tables. Many sites not close to creek. Not really a fishing spot. But quiet and pretty.
