The proximity to showers and a restaurant is in theory great, but the campground itself is a grass field next to a Casino, full of giant campers with no privacy and very little shade. Definitely not “nature”. We had reserved ahead of time but once we saw it we left to find another campsite. Thankfully it was cheap so we didn’t lose much.

Buffalo Bay Marina is by far the best spot to have a boat at the Apostle Islands! The proximity and amenities like a restaurant, pool and hot tub are just some of the reasons I love it here. The staff is always doing there best to make this little piece of paradise spectacular!

Catching up on helpful Google reviews from previous stays. I usually place reviews on Campendium for RV parks. ---------------- Good location. Campground has a comfy natural setting but could use some maintenance/upkeep. Stayed 2 nights in mid-July 2023. Site type: Back-in, water and electric (50 amp) with grass 3 stars solely because of the location on the water. $45/night 3 nights Site #11 THE GOOD: Town is close: Bayfield is only 7 ish minutes away. Gas/Food: Gas is right near the campground (1-2 min) The view: from behind our site was amazing and you can just drop in a kayak about 100 feet away. THE BAD: Site 21: We had a planned move to this site but it is positioned perpendicular to the other sites and very awkward. See satellite view before booking as an FYI. WORTH NOTING (Not good or bad) Sites: All sites are water and electric only. Oddly shaped sites that are tighter than most. Check-in: Go directly to the casino check-in desk. Connectivity: AT&T only and is minimal. Better site views: Choose sites 09, 07, and 05 if you would like to have a campfire with a view on the water.

A hidden gem of a campsite! Originally we had our doubts due to it's close proximity to the Casino, but all tent sites are neatly tucked away from view of the building. The views that are provided are absolutely gorgeous, as each site is placed directly on the lake. Indoor showers and bathrooms are provided as well for free with a reservation! Tent campsites are $33, tax included.

Loved it here. We had site 1 right on the lake and it was beautiful. It was great to sit out by the fire, next to the lake, and see the Apostle islands stretch off into the distance. It is a short drive to Bayfield, which is a nice little town with plenty of restaurants and shops to peruse. We did the Apostle Islands tour from there as well which was well worth the price. Nice little casino onsite as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will come back if we plan another trip to this area.
