Buffalo Crossing RV Park

Overview

Buffalo Crossing RV Park serves as a premier, modern basecamp for travelers seeking the ultimate gateway to the world's first national park. Located directly in the town of West Yellowstone, this facility provides a structured and well-maintained environment for RVers who value efficiency and comfort. It bridges the gap between the wild beauty of Montana and the necessary conveniences of a high-quality RV resort, offering a clean and professional atmosphere for all guests.

Location & Surroundings

The park is strategically positioned just minutes from the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, allowing guests to beat the crowds to iconic geysers and waterfalls. Being situated within West Yellowstone means you are surrounded by the Gallatin National Forest while remaining within walking distance of the town's vibrant dining and shopping district. This unique location offers the perfect balance of mountain air and easy urban access for a stress-free stay.

Amenities & Park Features

Guests enjoy spacious sites featuring full hookups with 30 and 50-amp power, along with reliable water and sewer service. The park is designed with level concrete pads and wide, paved interior roads to ensure that even the largest rigs can navigate and set up with ease. High-speed Wi-Fi is available to keep you connected, while the pet-friendly layout and proximity to local services ensure that the whole family can enjoy the Montana outdoors comfortably.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The park is a short walk from the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, a popular spot for observing regional wildlife up close. Adventure seekers can easily reach the Madison River for world-class fly fishing or explore the nearby Hebgen Lake for afternoon boating. During the evenings, the Yellowstone Giant Screen Theatre provides an immersive look at the park's history and wonders, all located just steps from your RV site for maximum convenience.

Who This Park Is Best For

This destination is perfectly suited for big-rig travelers and families who want a seamless, high-end experience near the park gates. It is ideal for those who prefer the security and convenience of a paved resort setting over a more primitive or rustic camping experience. It is what it is. An in town RV park with gravel parking spaces. Each spot has their own picnic table and grassy area. Very walkable to town and close to the park entrance. Internet could be faster and the dog area could be a little more separate (you walk behind d other RV’s

Like with everyone else's review...this is a great location for Yellowstone National Park...West entrance is most popular entrance due to proximity of most sights. However one downside to this park is the way they have the electric, water and sewer setup. It is at the very back of the site which doesn't make sense design wise. Most RV hookup it usually in the center of the RV or a little it over both ways it was cumbersome to take out full 20 foot plus extra sewer hose and what's more it was not really gravity level based so....that's downside. Other than that it was a nice park.

Just right outside Yellowstone Park west entrance. We really enjoyed our stay here. Their bathrooms and laundry facilities are clean . Sites well maintained. Gas stations, stores and gift shops nearby. A variety of places to eat and most places are within walking distance. I love that they had a theater despite not having time to watch a movie. They have a wonderful gift shop too. The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center is within walking distance. Highly recommend staying here. If we return to the area we would stay here again!

Stayed here 6 nights July 2025. EXCELLENT location. Cannot get any closer to west gate. So when you see people say the line to get in is backed up 3 miles you are entering it probably the quarter to half mile mark in that line to get into the gate. Sites are nothing special and the park overall has no real amenities. Bath houses were immaculate. They looked brand new and well cared for. Very convenient to town we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and the $20 voucher for the Yellowstone trading post was a nice bonus. We saw both the Yellowstone movie there and the running popular movie which at the time was a Jurassic Park movie. Very nice theater. Best of all was the one dollar ice cream cones.

We loved this RV park. It was clean and well maintained. The host was friendly and helpful. The sites were level and clean. It was conveniently located near the west entrance of Yellowstone and shopping. It was very quiet. The laundry and bathroom facilities were very clean. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.
