Easy in, out. Great level sites with plenty of room. This is one a few campgrounds that, in our 15 years of full-time RV travel, called me before our arrival to let us know what to expect when we arrived. I really appreciate their extra effort. The campground is very well kept. The laundry room is clean and modestly priced. We arrived after the season so water was off, but they have fill station in front. We would definitely stay again

Excellent campground. Close to I-25 with easy access to gas and restaurants. Sites are level and well maintained. Nice clean bathroom and showers and plenty of areas for dogs to walk and play. We’ve stayed here multiple times and have always found this KOA to be one of the best in our cross country travels.

We drove up to Buffalo, Wyoming kind of on a whim because we wanted to get out of Denver for Labor Day weekend. I’m so glad we made the trip. We specifically chose Buffalo because it has a KOA campground, it’s close to Denver, and we can easily tow our large travel trailer there. No mountain passes to go over, plenty of places to refuel along the way. We love KOA because they are typically very clean, safe, and have good amenities. There are always good places for kids to run and play. This campground was no exception. It was very easy to get to, the place is laid out really well, it’s close to town, and it’s just a really pretty property. There is a pretty little creek running alongside the campground, a pool, a playground, and it was a nice property to just walk around. Something to be aware of is that The campground is kind of tucked into a hotel area. There are a lot of mature trees on the property, so it makes the place feel like you’re not in the middle of everything, but it’s something to make note of in case you’re looking for something super rustic, or out of the way. We weren’t bothered by the hotels, and despite the fact that the property is close to I 25, we really didn’t notice any traffic sounds either. We would definitely go out of our way to make the trip to Buffalo, and we would absolutely stay at this KOA again.

Best KOA I have ever visited! I have visited many KOAs all over the US and I can honestly say "They are not all created equal". This one is by far the expectation to the rule. It is well kept. Family is very nice and friendly. The staff is always out working on keeping the resort clean and manicured. Laundry and baths/showers where very neat and clean. I will definitely recommend.

We stayed here for a week in July 2025. We enjoyed our stay here. This is a well run KOA with good amenities. A little on the expensive side though, given that the pool should really be heated, and a hot tub would be a great addition. There are some turns within the park that are tight when the somewhat small sites are occupied and RVs are overhanging. We ended up leaving a different way to avoid problems trying to make some of the turns within the campground. There are two dog parks, access to Clear Creek in the back, a nice playground, chess set, laundry, and more. Some of the deluxe sites are really nice in terms of enclosed patios with grills, etc. if you're into that sort of thing. We arrived early (because we were only coming from the Sheridan KOA which had a check out of 11am) and the Buffalo KOA was very friendly and accommodating - great staff. Disappointed to see a no parking on grass policy though - sometimes the sites are so small that people don't have a choice.
