Girls birthday trip for us. Rustic log cabin was clean & fairly roomy. Cabin had three levels with sleeping on each level. My bed was comfortable in lower level. No doors on sleeping quarters. Loved the wood burning fireplace and plenty, and I do mean plenty of cut wood to feed the fire. Very nice hot tub, lovely porch swing and covered deck saved us from the rain. I would recommend this place for sure. It would be best for young families or adult friends that are pretty fit but probably not for families with very young (babies) and not for people with disabilities as it's location is on a steep grade and no access for wheelchair and would be rough for people on walkers. Absolutely loved the location and the feeling of being "in the woods".

Spent my birthday week at the BOC. RV was very nice and staff was so welcoming. Shoutout to Andrew and Alex, out zip line tour guides. They were great and we had so much fun.

We had a great two days. Beautiful view from the porch swing. It was warm on our days so we couldn't use the fireplace. The river was also down due to a severe lack of rain. This was beyond BOC's control of course. Even so, this is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. There's lots to do, plenty of trails for all levels of fitness, and elk to enjoy. There are great restaurants from Granny's Kitchen in Huntsville to Low Gap Cafe in Jasper. Canoes and kayaks when the river is flowing. Suggestion: the cabins need an upgrade to central heat and air. The motel wall unit AC in our cabin just couldn't meet the demand in 87* weather.

Loved our vacation! Downsides were the checkout procedures made you feel like you were staying at an Airbnb instead of a cabin network. But, we only stayed for the weekend, so there wasn't a ton to clean up. The BOC itself is great. Pro tip, get to the BOC early if you want to be one of the lucky 12 that gets a Breakfast burrito. They only make 12, and it seems like it's the best selling breakfast item because it's the most identifiable.
