Overview
Theodosia Park, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, sits along the sprawling shores of Bull Shoals Lake in the Missouri Ozarks. This destination is celebrated for its clear waters and rugged shoreline, offering a peaceful retreat for those who appreciate natural beauty. Unlike commercial resorts, this park focuses on providing a serene camping experience where the rhythmic sounds of the water and the wind through the trees take center stage for every visitor.
Location & Surroundings
Situated in the quiet community of Theodosia, Missouri, the park is nestled in the scenic Ozark Mountains. The surrounding landscape is characterized by steep limestone bluffs and dense forests that change beautifully with the seasons. Its position on the Little North Fork arm of the lake provides a sheltered environment, making it a prime spot for those looking to escape the busier sections of the reservoir while still enjoying vast water access.
Amenities & Park Features
The park offers a mix of electric and non-electric campsites, many of which provide breathtaking waterfront views. Essential facilities include a convenient dump station, freshwater fill-up points, and clean shower houses. For those bringing watercraft, the on-site boat ramp provides easy access to the lake’s 45,000 acres of surface area. Families often enjoy the designated swimming beach and the playground, ensuring entertainment for younger travelers between fishing excursions.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Anglers flock to this area for its world-class bass and walleye fishing, as the lake is renowned for its depth and clarity. Just a short distance away, the Theodosia Marina-Resort offers additional services, including boat rentals and a restaurant for a break from campfire cooking. Nature lovers can explore the nearby Mark Twain National Forest, which features miles of hiking trails and opportunities for wildlife viewing in a pristine wilderness setting.
Who This Park Is Best For
This COE park is an ideal match for avid anglers and boaters who want direct access to one of the region's cleanest lakes. It is also perfect for families seeking a budget-friendly, nature-focused vacation without the distractions of a commercialized park. When it’s not flooded, it’s a nice little park. Nothing special by any means, but there’s a bathroom and some grass by the lake. That’s about it. Super pretty spot though.

This beautiful part is a mess thanks to the Corpse of Engineers miss handling and lack of maintenance. But they spend fortune to put in atm for fees, it now has only 6 spaces. They do not care ,it is only your TAX MONEY!!!
