Beautiful little campground, big rig friendly! Two restroom sites. Views are stunning. Totally dry camping. ADA friendly too! Just a couple miles off the main road 93. Watch for Burro Creek Campground signs! Camp host is always available.

Sorry, HATED this campground. The road in is crap. Crap with an 8% grade right into the campgrounds. Full gain on my rig, brake pedal to the floor and HOT. Not a great way to start. The creek was disgusting; mud and algae. We were really looking forward to that creek. It was in the 80s in February. I can't imagine how hot the rest of the year would be. There's NO potable water. You're supposed to drive in on that grade with your tanks full. The sites are so close together I had an allergy attack because our neighbors were perfumed so heavily they could have supplied an entire prom. You get to breathe in the neighbors campfire smoke as well. Couldn't leave fast enough.

Nice restrooms. No drinking water or electric available at campground. Host was very pleasant. $14.00 per night for us. Slept in tent spot with SUV. Beautiful views. Close by hiking trails. We had a great time.

Cleanliness Stopped here on way to Phoenix. This is a small CG at the bottom of a canyon. When you turn off the highway you enter an old asphalt road which hasn't seen any work in decades. It's a little rough but it is at least asphalt. Drive one mile to the bottom of the canyon and turn into the CG. The roads and sites inside the CG are all dirt/DG and a little rough but passable if you go slow. There is an inner and an outer loop with NO signs telling you which way to go so we just had to drive around until the host came out and directed us. Host was super nice. Our site was triple-wide, and all sites have ramadas with picnic tables and fire rings. Sites are well spaced, at 50-100 feet apart. Our site was level side-to-side but we had to put the front of our trailer all the way on the ground because of the back slope. CG is surrounded by barbed wire and there is a cattle guard at entrance to keep cows and burros out of the CG. Place was really clean except for the trash in my fire ring. Bathrooms have sinks, soap, and flush toilets and were clean but spartan. Though they do have solar powered lights. There are lots of trash cans and even one recycle bin for aluminum cans only. Our site has Saguaro cactus but no trees. Which I prefer because once the cloud cover burned off we had full-sun and got great solar charging. Most everyone here had a generator except us. Some people ran them all day AND all night which was annoying. If there are rules about quiet time, they are not enforced. Canyon is beautiful. Especially after a rain in the full sun. It's very quiet. The bridge is over a mile from the CG and you can see it, but barely hear traffic when you are outside and not at all when you are buttoned up. We found a trail and hiked down to the river. I recommend good hiking shoes and sticks. Host said that sometimes in the day there were mountain big horn sheep on the canyon walls but sadly we never saw any, or burros except for one dead one. We did cross the bridge and hiked up the abandoned road. It is asphalt but severely degraded due to 75 years of neglect. There were a number of dispersed camp sites along the road. The road does eventually lead out back to the 93. But do not drive on this road without 4WD. There is a day use with a large covered picnic area with solar powered lights. And there is a cactus garden and day use area with picnic ramadas. There used to be educational signs but they've all either been sun bleached or painted over due to graffiti. I All in all it is the kind of place that we would come back to when we are in the area. We camped at Burro Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel

This is a lovely affordable campground. We really enjoyed how quiet it was and the dark sky was amazing for stargazing. We've already decided that it's a place we'll go back to. There aren't hookups, but there is a dump station as well as very clean bathrooms. One thing to note, we brought our side by side hoping to find some riding, but most of the property around the campground is a ranch so there really isn't anywhere to ride. There is a dirt road that will take you to the bridge that is a beautiful ride but it's only about 2 miles long.

Nice little campground for $14 per night with flush toilets. There is a little road noise from the highway but not bad. Campsites vary in size. Camp Host was friendly and helpful.

Burro Creek Is a Nice and Peaceful Campground NW of Wikiup, AZ; quick note, don’t buy gas there, there’s 3 stations and all were like $1.90 more that if you went down to Wickenburg (36 miles SE). The road into the CG is paved and maybe a ½ mile and drops into the Burro Creek canyon or gorge and the CG parallels the Burro Creek. The roads inside are dirt and wide enough for any rig; there were some larger TT and 5Ws and I didn’t see anyone having a problem. Sites have picnic table and fire-ring and some sites even had canopies over the picnic table. There are several flush toilets around the CG as well as a few water faucets, and there is a tank-fill faucet at the 2-sided dump station. There are numerous garbage bins and I did notice one aluminum recycle bin. The camp host was great, friendly and accommodating, she kept a good eye on stuff. They come in and clean the bathrooms and take the trash a couple of times a week. The bathrooms were very clean and well lit at night. It’s a great area with many desert backroads to trek. We’d definitely come back here again.

Nice campgrounds for tent camping or those with smaller rv's or travel trailers. This campsites are smaller than normal but most appear to be mostly level. The water is not potable at this time (June 2025), so come prepared. The washrooms are modern and clean. This campground is near US 93, but road noise is not noticeable mostly. This is an excellent overnight spot or dark sky visit. Cost is just $14.

Beautiful campground with shaded picnic tables, flush toilets, dump station. Fees charged. Water is not potable according to posted sign as of June 2025. Creek has deep pools of water. Very birdy. Bighorn sheep on cliffs across the canyon.

This is a no frills but fabulous back to nature campground. Dry camping but they do have restrooms. Beautiful canyon and a nice wall to the creek.

Marvelous setting with quite a view. Narrow roads are Not meant for big rigs. Flush toilet, dump station. No potable water. This one is a gem!

Campground was great, not so many people there, and low light pollution. I loved how there was running water with flushable toilets. And surprisingly had cell service (T-Mobile). Would definitely come back

Very nice well kept campground. There is no potable water available to fill your camper, but there is rinse water and a dump site. Burrow creek has a good amount of water and offers great views. This is not a full hook up and the sites are close to each other. When we were there many campers felt the need to run their generators 24/7 which sucks, but not a negative reflection on the campground. There are regular bathrooms with running water that are very clean and well kept.
