Very nice campground tucked away in the forest far from "civilisation". Friendly staff, friendly people. Full hook-ups. One drawback a 7½ mile terrible washboard road from the Hwy-90.

Beautiful place! We originally booked for one month but enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. The employees are fantastic and common areas are very clean. We will be back!!

My in-laws love it here, they live here and we came to stay. We stayed in the Woodland room, it was perfect. The room was cleaner than any hotel I have ever stayed in and I am from the East Coast. It was cleaner then Disney hotel rooms. The room had a wonderful air conditioner that kept us cool during the day when it did get hot. The room was fully stocked with anything we would need for a week (never even needed to ask staff for anything). We had a full kitchen with pots and pans and all the cooking equipment you would need to cook for the week and the bathroom was stocked with more than enough towels for four people and halfway through. They even asked us if we needed more. The area is breathtaking! The trails are amazing. The staff, all polite and friendly and willing to help. I love that the staff even wanted to get to know you and know where you’re from and just know about you because it made me feel so comfortable and like I was at home. Everyone waved when you went by, and always had a smile. I have no complaints and while there’s not a ton for young kids to do (we have an 11 month old and a 9 year old), we were also visiting grandparents so we found things to do. The deer come right to you and the museum was so neat to walk through and read the history of the place. We will definitely come back, my husband more often just because he is seeing his parents but we can’t wait to visit next year as a family. Anyone looking for a gorgeous, rustic getaway to reset and enjoy nature this is the place to go. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Tremendous place with really interesting history. Their museum in the lodge is great and their library really extensive. Only downside is the road in, the washboard is really rough on an RV and it really shakes things up. The ATV trails from the location are really good and interesting with lots of wildlife

We are just wrapping up a week at Burro Mountain Homestead and I can't say enough positive things about it! The facilities are all spotless, the people are extremely friendly and access to miles and miles of trails is right at your doorstep. Take your time on the road in and you'll be fine. One important piece of info. . .it's 16 miles to the closest gas station, so if you plan on off-roading, bring fuel. We'll be back!
