We went this weekend for the first time and the owners were so nice. We had forgotten our 50 to 30 plug and he went to the office and got us one to borrow. He helped us back into our spot. We will definitely be back.

We had an open few days and decided to camp near our son for a visit rather than getting a hotel or bnb. So glad we found this campground!! Staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Showed us to our site, waited while we got connected, delivered our firewood. The restrooms/showers were super clean and modern. You can tell that the new owners have worked very hard to improve this property!! Most of the sites are seasonal like many campgrounds. Pros: Location, directional signage, staff, improvements, clean, full hookups. Beautiful pool and nice outdoor games, open spaces, modern playground, good camp store. Much to do here, lots of weekend activities! So glad they had some pull thru spots for Class A's. Quiet, with only very minor road noise as it is set back on beautiful open, hilly fields. Nearby things to do and shopping. Cons: While still in progress with improvements, they just have blacktop millings for the parking pad and they are soft and not level. That being said, we were able to almost level our 39' coach with a little patience. I only comment on this because we know many Class A owners who only park on level, concrete pads. Sites are a little tough to walk on because prior excavation for improvements has settled into dips. In spite of these "growing pains" we would highly recommend this campground! We are business owners and can appreciate the heart and investment that these folks are putting into making this an amazing property and experience. Important travel note: Do NOT take Eagle Mill Rd if you have anything other than a camper van or small Class C. First, it is extremely tight making the turn off 422. And that is just the beginning of the "This was a bad idea!" situations. After you get onto the road, there is a warning sign about absolutely no tractor trailers but nowhere to turn around at that point. "Well, that's not us", I thought... Intended for 2 cars to pass, exttemely narrow, no shoulders, stop signs on hills with poor visibility. On some curves we took up the whole road. Yes, it saves you a few miles... but even my husband, a professional semi driver and adrenaline junkie said "That was crazy!" Both Google Maps and our RV trip routing sent us this way, and so did the campground website. Just don't.

Just spent 5 weeks at the campground and have to say the people are great. Seasonals along with the buttercup team make you feel like part of the family. This was our second long term stay and we can't wait to come back to visit again soon. Buttercup team is always working on making the grounds even better. Thanks for a great stay!!!

The place is clean and beautiful. Everyone is very friendly from Owners and staff to Seasonal and weekend campers. Jacob not only helped me back my camper into my spot (newbie to life) he also graciously gave me lessons on backing up just before we checked out. We came to see Glitz on Labor Day weekend but I have been to Buttercup a few times with family and the weekend activities are always fun and wonderful.

First time here since the campground has been under new ownership and all i can say is WOW!!!! There were so many activities for kids, adults, kids & adults!! New dog park & fresh paint on the buildingd just to name a few things that caught our eye as soon as we entered the campground. We had such an amazing time we ended up booking the very next weekend as well!! Super friendly staff and seasonal campers make you feel right at home and not just a "visitor" for the weekend! Highly recommend !!!

This camp ground is a nice little spot, but there are too many things that turn people off. This is a big place for people who bring their trailers and leave them permanently as their summer getaway place. They are overcrowded, and looks like the owner wanted to squeeze a few bucks out of every square inch. This results in much traffic especially on weekends. Speaking of traffic, they have speed bumps, nasty ones. You will be warned “they will take out your dishes” so 2 MPH is a safe speed. The road leading to the short term sites is very narrow, and has a sharp turn, making it impossible to pull a long trailer and not go on the grass or cones. There is Rita who sits by the pool constantly. They are not a lifeguard but a rule keeper for every little kid who happens to forget the rules. This makes the experience unpleasant to anyone trying to enjoy the pool area. Also, loud cars and motorcycles tend to emit sounds at night, so if you are looking for a peaceful night, you will be disappointed.

Cute campground, really well kept and nice setting. BUT, my sister and I came there to pick up a small RV couch. We were in separate vehicles. I came along to help lift this couch into the bed of her truck and strap it down. It was heavy because it folded out into a bed, and I brought my car to put the couch cushions in so they don't blow out of the bed. Someone buzzed my sister in who was in front of me, but I got stuck behind the gate. She told me to just call the office and ask them to buzz me in. I did. There was a lady who I spoke to, very nicely, might I add, and she had a snotty attitude when I asked to be buzzed in. Lady, fix your attitude. You work at a campground. Its not that serious. I was there to help my sister, and then we were on our way. Don't work with customers if you hate people. I won't ever consider staying there if that's how you treat people who politely ask a simple question.
